There may be regional differences for the incentives; but we don't have the documentation for all regions.

Confirm with a couple different Volvo dealers to see if the 1st dealer is giving you the straight scoop.

I believe that is correct, dealer in Brooklyn told me the same thing and it also shows on the lease estimator on the volvo site

seemed like a fair deal, There weren't a ton of FWD inscriptions around with my color choice so i jumped on this one.
I don't know the exact selling price but i believe it was around 37500 minus the rebates for a cap cost around 32300. They didn't break anything down so i am not sure

It's determined by the dealer in so far as they determine to mark it up from the base rate set by the bank.

Politely tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is inflated. And, start shopping other Volvo dealers.

Hi, I know it's a few weeks later, but I was curious what prices were like since I was shopping at this time last year and ended up with an early 2017.

Did the price you were given include the excise tax? When I lived in MA, the lease I had (different make) baked the excise tax into my lease, so my payment was a good $35 a month higher. Since it's based on the value of the car, and my car was "only" $36,000-ish then, a car with an MSRP of $7,000 more can easily add a good $10-$15 more per month, plus the rates are determined by city and town. That's my two cents; hope it provided some insight!

Oh, dear - City of Chicago.

You'll be paying two levels of sales tax. IL taxes the sum of the payments, and collects the money up front. You can pay that amount when you sign the paperwork, or roll it into the cap cost and pay it monthly. With the MF being practically 0, I would recommend the second option.

Then, Chicago will tax the payment each month. No way to pre-pay that amount, it's added to the monthly payment.

Total tax rate is something like 17%. Ouch.

Anything added to the cap cost is subject to sales tax...
