$347 with $3k down is a very bad deal. You can drive much better car with this price.

Latest quote: For an AWD XLE lease, sticker 29638, selling price 27772, with 3K down, lease quote was $307 for 12K/36. That includes 9% tax, acq fee, and dealer charges. (No GAP ins) I still think deal is weak, because the .002 lease factor equals 4.8% interest, for someone with FICO over 850.
Does anyone know if Toyota is coming out with better lease rates anytime soon?? Philly area.

What state is this? .00200 does seem pretty high for the MF. What does the $3k down cover?

Michaell, It's in Pennsylvania. .002 for someone with excellent credit is terrible, but apparently Toyota financial has no deals on 2017 RAV4s. Dealer was pushing 2016 models with competitive MF, to clear inventory. The $3k includes the 1st month payment, the Toyota Financial fee ($650 I think. Dont have the papers here) and one or so other small items.

We don't have the 2017 numbers, so can't confirm or deny what you've been told.

But, I'm not surprised that the '17 numbers are so bad so as to incent buyers to make a deal on a leftover '16.

Residuals are fixed. At that price, just lease it, and let it go after three years.

Need help for my daughter. She has a 2014 RAV4 XLE with 50K lease is up in May. Dealer called her to trade now. I told her to go because her mileage is over. They are trying to put her in an LE because they told her sticker on XLE is $32K and payment would be over $400. For LE they are taking her car in trade, obviously paying off remaining payments, but telling her she has to pay for the 5K mileage overage, $750 plus $750 down for a payment of $299. I don't think it is a good deal for an LE.I think it would be ok on an XLE. But I also don't like that they are telling her she has to pay the mileage overage. I've traded leased cars with mileage over and I haven't been charged.She's trading not turning the car in. I didn't go with her and she is ready to sign the papers on Monday. Can anyone help me with this one? Thank you so much.

A few questions / requests

1. What state is this?
2. What lease term and miles per year is she looking for?
3. Call Toyota and get the payoff on the current lease
4. What is the MSRP and adjusted cap cost of the new car?
5. Get an accurate estimate of the trade value - we have a good discussion here called "real world trade in values" where you can get help

Once you know 4 and 5, you can figure out how much is owed and likely being rolled into the new lease. Information is power - the more you know, the better position you are to negotiate.

Yes... residual percentage is applied to the bottom number on the window sticker. Including options and destination.

Gas: .00011 MF and 67%/61% residual for 12K/yr
Hyb: .00044 MF and 68%/62% residual for 12K/yr

No 10K/yr from Toyota

Toyota does have an MSD program, but doubtful that your dealer will know anything about it.

2. That is our preference; in fact, roll the acquisition fee into the cap as well, and only pay the first payment and DMV costs. Does not affect the numbers.
