Normal residual would be 59%. It has to be adjusted down, to account for the current mileage. That basically adds $790 to your depreciation. Your price would need to be at least $790 less than a brand new one, just to break even. Of course, since it's a demo, you want to do better than that.

What state and tax rate?

MI with 6% tax.

The sales price is $4133 off MSRP. It was $3133 but I negotiated an additional thousand due to the mileage. It's an 8.4% discount total.

Yeah.. the adjusted CAP cost would help. Looks like the acquisition fee is rolled in, but the rest of it would be part of the upfront money.

Adding in the acquisition fee, I only get $517/mo.+tax or $548/mo, not $568. Maybe they added GAP, or some garbage fee?

I'm within a dime of your calculated payment.

The math doesn't lie, so the numbers they are using must be different.

Confirm the MF with them.

Seems like you are guessing as to which fees are capitalized, and which are paid upfront. Also, there will be tax on the negative equity. In your first example, the negative equity and the acquisition fee are added to the sale price to get the Gross CAP, but the $234 in fees is not.

You need to get the exact numbers from the dealership. Your calculations totally disregard the money you are paying upfront, and how it's allocated.

So, the vehicle I was pricing out with them isn't available...

So, I moved to a limited. Negotiated to 6.2% off MSRP. They're claiming it's $500 below invoice but I doubt that... Using the same MF and 12K miles I calculated the payment within $1 of their calculation. I'm at $506 a month with $0 down. Just first month and my negative equity payoff. I feel like it's a fair deal.

I'm trying to get dealers to match the Toyota advertised 299$ month lease deal, but nobody is getting close, even with the 3850$ payment. Anybody have luck with getting close to that deal and then getting the dealer to go for 0$ down?

Residual is calculated against the MSRP - bottom line number of the factory window sticker.

Acquisition fee ($650) is the likely culprit.

Looking at a 2017 XLE Zip is 83712. Lease deal says $39980 MSRP Whats a good "negotiated price for the XLE? Add says Bonus cash to dealer. How much is the "bonus cash". I see others using a residual of .667 and a MF of .00072 does that sound about right.

We don't have Idaho numbers.
Money factor is either .00072 or .00225

Term and mileage affects residual, as does AWD or FWD.
Don't see any lease cash offers for the Highlander.

The sponsored lease on the non-hybrid XLE uses an adj cap cost of $36,878 from the MSRP of $41,678, but only mentions a $250 subvention/lease cash. $5,000 seems like a big discount wondering if this includes some other lease money that would still be available on hybrid. Any chance y'all know or is that just a reasonable discount?

We don't have the specific WA state incentives, so can't tell you if there is more lease cash than what's been shown, or if it's just a good discount.

Final was $2029 down, that includes the $650 acq fee and the first payment of $397. Gross cap was $39,895, MSRP including freight was $41,595 . Since we put down $1,000 less, out payment went from $367 to $397. MF was .00072

FWD or AWD?

The Toyota MF and incentives are regional. For those regions we don't have information for, it's one or the other.
