68% for XLE; we don't show the SE trim in our documents.

MF ranges from .00128 to .00149 (numbers are regional, we don't have NY numbers, so this is just a guess)

In NY, taxes are assessed against the sum of the payments; you can choose to roll them into your monthly payment. In fact, that is our recommendation.

We don't show an SE, but that residual matches the LE version, so we'll just assume it's a sub-set of the LE.
My calculation is within a couple of dollars of your quote.

Why $192 in upfront tax? The bank fee is taxable, but what else?

Other than that, it looks good. (well, except for the $2000 of use that you are giving away on your BMW)

Base residuals are for 15K/yr. 12K/yr adds 2%.

The dealer may have had specials for President's Day, but those sort of specials usually continue to the end of the month. However, we wouldn't have any info on mid-month changes.

If they won't give you the deal they proposed last weekend, tell them thanks and you'll go elsewhere. Amazing what that will do, sometimes. (since it's still the same month)

Be polite and tell the dealers you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF. They know the base rate.

Keep searching - it only takes one dealer to meet your numbers.

I'm sorry about the confusion about the low vs. standard residual. The sales manager gave me what was his sheet probably in error and it said that. The tax rate is 8.625% and the MSRP is $42,137. The purchase price quoted though is $38,500. Thank you.

No worries. Using the high MF of .00149, those prices give me a payment of $396/mo before tax.
