Is 7% off MSRP for a factory ordered M550i still the right target here in Indianapolis? I am searching now and hearing that is an unrealistic target for an order - may be possible if vehicle is on lot. Thoughts?

Can't hurt to start there, and see where that gets you.

But, dealers are way more motivated to move inventory that's on the lot, for sure.

Hello! May I please have the February MF and RV% for 2018 530e Sport Design Premium Tier at 36/10? Zip code is 93292. Also any available rebates and lease cash?

Do the different designs and tiers have different MF and RV%?

    Cash due at signing: $2995
    lease incentive plus loyalty :$3000

Is lease wear and tear from a previous lease?

Assuming a .00152 base, the marked up MF is $50/mo or $1800 over 36 payments plus tax on that amount.

I usually like to add lease wear and tear b/c my lease returns typically have a bit of damage to them when I return them due to having kids. I've found that when I get it in the finance department vs negotiating before picking up the lease, it's usually a little more expensive. Was quoted $2000 for my X5M at the finance department. I've even been able to get them to build it directly into my deal as an incentive so that it doesn't affect my monthly payment but was unable to do it in this deal.

I did the numbers crunch on the MF and arrived at the same conclusion. I figured with 1800 over the life of the lease, it would still net me a 7.84% discount on MSRP.

Should I go for more off the MSRP or should I ask for market MF and risk a lower discount on MSRP? Open to any suggestions or deals that people have gotten on here!

I'd skip the wear and tear insurance - that adds $40/mo to the payment for pretty much no value.

Ask them what would happen to the discount if you wanted the base MF - it might work out better for you.

What does the $2995 at signing cover?

In California, for a new 540i lease, what would typical license/registration, doc fee and bank fees be? (Negotiated price is $67,120, MSRP is $74,620)

DMV fees generally run about 1% of MSRP
Doc fee is restricted to $80 maximum, by statute
    Acquisition fee is $925

Please let me know your thoughts:
    530xe 2018 - Cold Weather, Premium & Driver Assistance, Used - ~4700 miles.
    MSRP - $64,035, Sale price: $53,700
    MF: .00152
    Residual: 61%
$2,394.71 total due making last 4 pmts from previous lease ($435 / month)

    Thanks!
    G

So... what was the quoted payment?
    What state and tax rate?
    State: NJ Sales Tax: 6.875%
    Quoted Payment: $515 / month
    10K/36 months
That looks like a great deal.
Ok, Thanks. Even for used at ~4,700 miles..?
It's not used, it's a demo or loaner vehicle. Still qualifies for the new car rates and incentives.

Yes, $515/mo on a $64k car is a great deal, even with 4700 miles on it.
What if I wanted to buy the car at the end of the lease? MSRP - $64,035, Residual - 61%

If I bought the car at the end of the lease: buyout is 61% of MSRP - $1,185.50( mileage adjustment )=$37,875 ( buyout at the end). Total I would pay is $37,875 + total lease payments = $56,415. Still about 11% off from MSRP...for a 4700 mile start car...still a good deal, I guess?

Sale price at lease is: $48, 436 after all rebates/discounts - so what is the difference between $56,415 and this - ~$8K; is this the interest I am paying?

If your intention is to keep the car after the end of the lease, you're better off buying it to start with.

Skip the lease fees altogether and get a solid interest rate for a loan. And, if you buy an off-lease car, you'll have to finance it as a used car, with likely higher interest rates.

Yes, the $8K would be the interest on the lease.

Buying the car at lease end is a good way to screw up a good lease deal. You’ll never drive a car like that for $515/mo, any other way. Don’t lose sight of the actual cost to drive the vehicle. It’s dirt cheap.

Hi all. First post!. I am going in to make a deal tomorrow 2018 540ix. (Wisconsin) I am going to pay the whole lease off up front.

    73,513 - Discount $4000 = $69,513
    Residual $44,402.93 61%

    Actual Depreciation $27,110.07

My Cost Lease $32,888 36 month 10k miles per year

Question is of course, is this a good deal? True car says a good deal is a 5k discount.

I just never know if I am getting a good price. Sigh

Should I push for the 7% I see people mentioning in the thread? Or is there more cash or rebates I am missing?

Looking at putting a lease deal together for a 2018 530e in zip 34233. Can you help me sort through incentive programs and what can be stacked? For my zip I am seeing $2000 customer cash, $4500 Dealer Cash, $2000 USAA & $500 corporate all of which I am eligible for. Which if any of these can be combined? Also what is the current base MF & residual for 3/36? Thanks

You want to target 7% off sticker price, before applying the incentives.

We'd suggest you roll the acquistiion fee into the payment, rather than paying it up front.

I decided to post my contract - it is a long paper so I had to paste it together. And I redacted all information about me. I signed it yesterday so telling me I screwed up is probably not helpful, however it may help someone else. The total was 74,508 before we started
    But this is it.

So according to this contract can you tell me the total cost of the lease?
They told me all I would pay is $28,591.70

    Yes.. that's the total cost - (35 X $789.95) + $943.45 due at signing.
Looks like the money factor is marked up from .00152 to .00162. (just $11/mo. more)

I guess part of the payment is non-taxable, because of the trade-in credit?

The $3k up front cash is $925 (acquisition fee), $755 (license fee), $80 doc, $857.22 first month payment, and about $300 I'm not sure what it's covering.
You want to target 7% off sticker price, before applying the incentives.

We'd suggest you roll the acquistiion fee into the payment, rather than paying it up front.
Thank you! Anything else to look out for if this is a custom order? Same 7% is a good discount for a custom order? Appreciate all the help!
Yes, 7% off sticker is a good price.

So does it mean I am paying $11 a month more for the length of the lease? And yes, no tax on the 19k from the trade.

Yeah.. it's $11/mo. more than if they hadn't marked up the money factor.
But, it's still exactly what is shown on the contract.

Thanks. I guess they have ways of giving something with one hand and taking it away with a keystroke. lol

I decided I want to add a few features. So I will likely go in tomorrow and add them. In Wisconsin a person has three days to cancel a contract

Is the money factor a standard amount and dealerships can raise it to hide increases from customers. Like give someone 500 dollar rebate, and then raise the money factor an amount that will cost the customer 500. If so what should the exact money factor number be?

Thank you much for the info. I guess they can keep the 396 dollars. I am glad I know about it however. I am going in today and I will just bite my tongue.

I doubt the 3-day rule applies to automobile purchase/lease.

In Wisconsin it applies to any contract signed away from the seller's place of business. So at a fair, or car show, or etc. So it does not apply to this contract. I signed it at the dealership. However I am about to buy 2k more worth of options so i am sure they will be happy to write me a new contract.

Hello would greatly appreciate your thoughts on the lease quote I am getting. Leasing 2018 530i Xdrive 15K/36 months, sticker is $61450. I live in NY tax is 8.625%. The dealer is saying the lease price is $749 per month, this includes tax. The only thing I need to pay upfront is first month and DMV fees. Is this a good deal?

Hi all. First post!. I am going in to make a deal tomorrow 2018 540ix. (Wisconsin) I am going to pay the whole lease off up front.

Why on earth would you pay the whole lease up front? What happens if the car is totaled or stolen?

What is the selling price - or, better yet, the adjusted cap cost with the taxes and fees added in?

    Whoa, whoa, whoa.

There is a difference between a cap reduction (down payment) and a one-pay lease.

In a one-pay, you get a discount to the MF, and the money goes into an escrow account, where each payment is made automatically.

If the car is stolen or totaled, you get back the unused funds from the escrow account. No risk.

My apologies wish I could give you more the only information I have is that the selling price of the car is 57,200, which is close to 7% off the $61500 MSRP, Assuming my tax is 8.625%, the $749 per month for 15K/36 montsh feels a bit high, my dealer told me that he gave me $4500 off sticker and that there is also a $3000 BMW rebate. Based on this data what should be the general monthly payment including taxes?

    $925 acquisition fee, too.

    .00152 and 58%

If I add the acquisition fee and the total tax ($2106) to the $54,200 price (after rebates), I get $740/mo. Pretty close, but there is about $325 unaccounted for.

    Hi.
I imagine that my insurance will cover the vehicle. But I will check to see if that is the case. I guess I do not want payments. By the way, after considerable difficulty at the original dealership - (ignored messages, and poor communication), I decided to cancel the deal.

I went to a different dealership and got my car ordered. I will attach the deal sheet. Turns out that other dealership was screwing me on the money factor (.00162) and on the One pay lease amount.

And the new dealership got my car ordered immediately and it is already in production!
    I am excited.

I do not see a thread started, but do you have early build MF/RV for the new M5? BMW is publishing generic lease deals on them and it appears to be the same rates as the 5 series. Can you confirm for 36/10K?

Just leased a m550. If anyone in southern California is looking for a deal, send me a message. The manager/dealer I used states they will give the same deal I received to anyone I refer. FYI, I was asked not to publish specific details on the final deal I received, but it was at least 10% off MSRP on an m550 which I was told by multiple dealers in the area that they would not do. I'm also told that bigger discounts can be had on other 5 series models as they have more allocation vs m550s.
