    Hi Michaell,
I have the following quote for a 12k miles a year, 3-year lease of a $60,127.00 MSRP priced for zero down( nothing down), 35 payments for $700 a payment. Is this a good deal.

I am returning my 2015 650 GC and looking at the 5 series this time.

What is the adjusted cap cost, if all the taxes and fees are rolled into the payment?

The adjusted cap cost with everything is 54,832.00. It's a 659 a month for base monthly rental and a 51 a month tax for California for a total of 35 payments of $710.00 actual. My MF is 0.00152. I have it locked in from late December and did a credit application then.

Hi Michael. My California dealer quoted me on a 2018 540i 36/12 mf: 0.00196; $73,935 MSRP; $6,655 dealer discount, $3,000 BMWFS rebates, $5,000 down (include all drive offs and fees), $871 license/fees etc. Monthly: $777/month + tax. However my math tells me it should be $643 + $54 tax = $698. Am I missing anything?

What cap cost are you using? What cap cost is the dealer using?

MF is marked up the max, and we don't recommend large cash outlays at the beginning of the lease - just first payment and DMV costs.

Hello - Can you post the residual for an M550 on 10k 36 mos. Is there a difference in how the lease credit is applied vs loyalty credit or are both just straight cap cost reduction. Thanks for the help.

The agreed price is $66,541 -- so I presume this number should go on the Gross Capitalized Cost, correct? Dealer is using $68,280 as GCC.

Not unless the dealer is adding their fees to that price - are you paying them up front or not?

Yes, sir. All the fees will (doc, registration etc.) will be paid upfront. So my assumption is that the Gross Cap. Cost should be exactly what the negotiated car price is, right? Given that all other fees are being paid in advance.

$925 acquisition fee, tax on the rebates and CAP cost reduction, etc, etc..
Best to ask the dealer for all of the numbers, or a screenshot.

I am coming off lease on 535 and negotiating with my dealer for a m550i.  Based on this forum I proposed a 7% discount off Msrp as the selling price, and this would be on an ordered car.   Dealer said best they can do is 5.4% because of high demand and limited allocation from BMW.   I find that hard to believe...it’s an ordered car.  How can demand/allocation impact discount if the car doesn’t exist?   I am in NY - anyone know of a dealer that will do 7% or more?   As of now the dealer is proposing

    MSRP: 78345
    selling price: 74575
    USAA: 500
    Total selling price: 74075
    Rebates: 3000

    852.77 x 36 12k miles/year
    5137.18 total due plus plates.

Looks like he has acquisition fee in total due at signing.  Thoughts?

The M550i is limited edition, so that may impact the discount you can negotiate.

Keep trying dealers - NJ and CT dealers may be willing to play ball, if you're willing to travel.

We'd suggest you add the taxes into the payment as well - if the car is totaled or stolen, you won't get a refund on those pre-paid taxes.

    Deal on a 2018 530 ex:
I am coming off a leased 528 and looking at a 530 ex.
Bare-bones with minimal options - MSRP 56,735. 36/ 10K lease. Cash due at delivery: 3,750 (including 1st month, state tax of 1850, DMV, fees). Monthly $450.
Seems like a good deal to me. Any thoughts?

There has to be a lot more off than that.
$4000 discount, minus $2000 lease credit, minus $2000 loyalty (so, adjusted CAP of $48,635), results in $521/mo.

what’s the incentives for 530e in March? Is it 3k or 4K? MF and depreciation I hear are the same between 530i and 530e.

Dealers are only allocated a certain amount of factory production slots. Even if they have 22 customers wanting to factory order a M550, if they only have 10 slots, then 12 customers are out of luck. So if there is a more demand for slots than there is supply for slots, they choose to be "picky" and only use a slot for a higher margin customer.

    thinking about a 530e (MSRP $63,400), 12k miles/36 month, 12k mile/24 month.

Can I get MF/Residual, and incentives?

On these 530e's are dealers reducing the 4668 federal tax credit off the sales price?

Also I am coming off an X5 Lease where i have the max (7) MSD's, what will be the MF if i again max out on MSD's?

    Thanks in advance!

    $2000 lease credit
    $2000 loyalty

The lease credit is in lieu of the federal tax credit.

We've heard that you can roll over 5 of the MSDs, each of which will reduce the MF .00005

I have offers for a 530i from two dealerships in California (Bay Area), can you help me get a sense of whether these are any good? It feels like I have negotiation room, but hard to tell with spotty data:

    530i xDrive
    Total MSRP: $69,070
    36 months/10k miles

    $2,000 loyalty
    $1,000 lease credit

    Dealer 1:
    $0 drive-off
    $830/mo + tax
(I believe this dealer used an MF of 0.00196)

    Dealer 2:
    $2941 drive-off
    $751/mo + tax
    (Sale price: $64,855)

    .00156 and 61%

    Thanks for the quick response!

Trying to get more details from Dealer 1.

This is the breakdown I got from Dealer 2 for the drive-off:

    License and Reg $744.75
    Doc Fee $80
    BMWFS Acquisition Fee $925
    1st Payment $821.19
    Tax $370.46

    UPDATE:

I have an updated offer from Dealer 1:

    MSRP $69,070
    Selling Price $64,000
    Doc fee $80
    Acquisition fee $925
    License fee $696
    Residual .61
    MF 0.00156
    36 mo, 10k miles
    $0 drive-off
    $763/mo + tax
So, dealer 1 just dropped their price by $67/mo?
    And, still ZERO drive-off?

That's looking pretty good, now that you have the details.

Yeah, but not without some attitude. Their initial offer was ~$950/mo. I foolishly countered with $830 based on some incomplete math. After reading this thread and doing some more math, I offered $750, and they countered with $763. It's been a wild two days =)

I finalized this today. m550 build, msrp 78435, selling price 71745, MF .00156, 36mo/12k, 3500 in rebates/incentives. 803/month with tax, registration, first month down (approx $4100).

Any advice on this quote I received?  I also have USAA and Loyalty credit.   Not planning on making a down payment...only whatever is minimum.

I'd ask for another $600-800 off the sticker price, to start.

Up front cash should be just the first payment and registration costs.

    .00156 and 58%

What state is this? That tax amount looks large.

Hello, it is in Texas.  What do U suggest I can get for a monthly payment?   Should I be asking for an additional 5-7% off MSRP too?

If I take out the first payment from the total number on the right hand column, for an adjusted CAP cost of $57,368, I get a payment of $787/mo.

Looks like they've marked up the money factor to about .00180.
7% off MSRP would drop the selling price by $700
Couple that with the base money factor, and the payment would drop to about $763/mo. (w/$2000 due at signing).

So, base money factor means the lowest rate?   Would you say $763 is a good payment?
