New York 36 month 15k miles lease.
MSRP: $53,925
Selling Price: $50,702
Money Factor: .00174
Residual: 59%
$760 per month with $860 down plus registration.
Is this a good deal? It is the dealers first offer so im sure I can get it down from here.
"Yes, taxes and bank fee are capped. The adjusted cap cost is $53,815.11."
The calculation is correct.
That's $3100 in fees and taxes. Acquisition fee is $895.
What state and tax rate? ($2200 to go)

~$1700 in tax, $75 doc fee. Still leaves $300-400 unaccounted for.
Hi everyone- Just got the quote below for a 2018 Q5 Prestige. In Phoenix AZ. I would appreciate any feedback. I feel like the Money Factor is still high and that they can come down on the selling price. Thoughts?

.00174 and 55% for 36/15
Yeah, the MF is marked up - that is adding over $45/mo to the payment.
6% off sticker is actually a good discount, for Audi.
But, what is the $1194 of "upfront charges" - I see the acquisition fee and registration added into the cap cost, so it's something else.
Hi everyone - I went to another dealership in Phoenix AZ. 2018 Audi Q5 Prestige 36 / 15k - It would be good to get some feedback. The sales person said this was a Net Net deal..

Base MF and 7% discount from MSRP are good; $510 doc fee and $2000 up front are not good.
We suggest just first payment and DMV costs due at signing.
Thanks for your response. What should I go back to them and say? I'm guessing whether it's #1 or #2, it's a bad deal? Should I get the adjusted cap cost?

Ask them for the adjusted cap cost - they should be willing to share that.
Then, we can determine if the MF is marked up, or not.
There is about a $2000 gap in the adjusted cap cost to go from my calculations to the dealer quote.
But, my calculations do not include tax; what is the tax rate where you live?
I received an offer to match Edmunds price on a 2018 Q5 Premium with NAV, convenience, heated seats, PANO and 19" wheels, non metallic paint (MSRP of $49,125 -- their offered price is $45685 with $2500 down, 12K miles/year on the lease for 36 months, $558.32 plus tax payment. Audi Care Maintenance $849 (extra cost). My local dealer had offered $47,880 as their best deal (much smaller dealership). .00174 MF if we qualify and 61% residual. Would this payment they are offering change when we arrive (eg. we need to now add in the destination fee, other fees etc)? Seems like a fair price in Northern California. I got the lease sheet and it indicates 1869.58 in the tax column (they explained as "The monthly tax is $47.46 X 36 = $1708.56 Plus $161.02 Tax on Cap reduction (with the $2500 you are making the 1st payment plus the Bank fee ($895) plus doc fee ($80), the remainder is $919.22 and you pay tax on that, so the total of taxes is $1869.58)". When I do my calculations, I am still coming up at just $525 plus tax.
Any advice prior to driving up 100 miles to make this deal? Thank you.

Not a whole lot of wiggle room, beyond that.
Only DMV and first payment due at signing? Are you saying we should not pay acquisition and doc fees? License fees?

We are saying that the acquisition and doc fee should be added into the capitalized cost.
License, registration or DMV fees should be paid at lease signing.
I got a lease on a 2018 Q5 Premium Plus this weeked. I wanted to see if I got a good deal and also if I made a mistake adding AudiCare + Lease End Protection into the lease. I might still be able to cancel that. This is from a dealer in Concord, CA. Here are the deal parameters:
MSRP $49,875 Cap cost $45,885 Audi Care $869 Lease End Protection $1,549 Total cap cost $48,303 Lease 36m, 10k, $3K down Monthly payment before services $584.82 Monthly payment with services $664.82 Residual: $31,421
I forgot to mention that the dealer claimed I would need to replace tires at the end of the lease at $1400 (19") and maintenance for year 2, 3 will have to be done by an Audi certified shop which will cost a total of $1200. So together just that is $2600.

The AudiCare maintenance program is a good deal on a lease, as it raises the residual by 1%. That makes your effective cost about $370. That's way cheaper than what you'd spend on maintenance.
But, spending $1550 on an insurance plan because you might need a $1400 set of tires? I'd pass on that.
Adding just the AudiCare plan should only raise your payment by about $15/mo.
That is a decent deal with AudiCare... not so good if you add the other plan.

I'm back with another deal that I was able to get selling figures on (the last one sold before I could get it).
Premium package with Navi package (virtual cockpit), sunroof, convenience package, and heated seats.
Window price: $48,900
Invoice: $46,391
Selling: $44,191
Includes Audi loyalty rebate. Tax is socal (orange county).
Monthly comes to $589 including tax. $1,500 down including first month's payment.
Good deal?
With your prices, I get $528/mo plus tax.
The tax rate would have to be pushing 12% to get to $589/mo.
Either 1) the MF is marked up, or 2) the adjusted cap cost is higher than the selling price.

6% off MSRP is a good target, for Audi.
