.00177 MF and 61% residual If the selling price was the adjusted CAP cost, I get $574/mo.+tax But, the adjusted CAP cost is probably higher. $1500 isn't enough to cover the 1st payment, $895 acquisition fee and DMV/dealer fees. Ask for the adjusted CAP and verify the money factor being used.
36mos/12k and taxes and fees included. This is a New York State sale
they are also looking for 4K down. Just wondering if this is a good deal or not. Feeling like it isn’t.
.00177 and 60%. MF is marked up; politely tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is inflated.
Too much up front - we suggest only first payment and DMV/registration costs at signing.

Apologize if I'm being a bug, but this would be our second lease. We still have 5 months left on our current lease (approximately $2200.00 owed - monthly payment of $478.00), and approximately 35000 miles (36 mos/12k). Could this be why it is affecting our offer? Thanks so much!

Yes - those remaining lease payments have to go somewhere - likely into the new lease.
Why not wait the 5 months, and pay the mileage penalty - do you think that will be more than $2200?

Hi I got a quote for P+ from an LA dealer which has very different numbers from here but I more wonder about the bank doc fee. They charged $895 but that must be very high. How much is fair for this fee? Thank you very much!

What is the residual percentage in California for a Q5 Premium Plus 36mo/7500 miles and 36mo/10,000 miles? Is this the sweet spot for the Q5? Do you suggest going longer or shorter for a low-mileage lease? Does the 6% off MSRP guideline apply to the 2018 Q5 as a brand new model? THANK YOU
.00191 MF and 64%/63% residual
36 months is the best term, though the payment will be lower at 42 months.
6% off is a rule of thumb. I wouldn't apply it universally.
Is there a forum that describes what to do with the MF information and residual percentage?
Looking for optimal pricing on 2018 Audi Q5 premium plus. Msrp $47,500. 36 month 10k // 12k . California.
$2,500 due at dealership, $473 after tax total monthly. I'm not sure what the random Doc/Tire fee and the Noncash Credit are about. Good luck to those currently shopping.

The salesman had agreed to pay me $475/month after taxes with 3,500 down + 1st payment and DMV fees
I need help with the financials calculating the MF and residual but does this seem like a good deal. I'm not sure if I'm putting too much down.
Thanks
What state is this?
We do not suggest a large down payment - in fact, just the first payment and DMV should be all you pay at lease signing.

Hi Michaell,
Im in Orange County CA. Why is that, I was told the difference between putting a downpayment and paying more a month is pretty small. Just a difference of timing.

Yeah, except if the car is stolen or totaled during the lease, that up front money is gone.
Thank you for your help Michael. The dealer is trying to back out of the deal. I'll update when things are finalized.
Why are they trying to back out?
Well the car I wanted was at the Audi dealership in LA. I offered the $475 after tax and $3,500 down and they didn't accept so I walked out. Later that day I got a call saying they would do that offer from the finance manager as well as a text from the salesman saying they would do it at the price. So I drove back there, the salesman wasn't there and the finance guy said they were having trouble getting the car and tried to sell me on other cars I didn't want as well as jack up the price. I was mad and told them let me know if you can get the car in LA and I will sign. Now the salesman isn't even acknowledging the car is LA and is telling me the best they can do is $3500 down $530 a month after taxes... I'm not sure what I want to do now but I'm extremely annoyed with the unprofessional behavior of these guys.

Was this for a 2018? Outstanding. Even for 2017 - pretty, pretty, pretty good.
"Was this for a 2018? Outstanding. Even for 2017 - pretty, pretty, pretty good."
It was a 2018. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I'm impressed with the 8.8% reduction on the MSRP. You think it was an end of the month thing?
They put all the fees into the amount due at lease signing, gave you 750 lease cash plus another 257.55 credit (or some combination of credits totaling the 1007.55). If I'm looking at it correctly, the lease is based entirely on the depreciation value (+tax), which is a good way to avoid paying the finance charge on all the fees. Is that typical in Florida?
I'm in Maryland looking at a P+, and have to pay tax on full value. Using same #'s, I could get a model with MSRP of $50,535, 36/15, for $659/month, with about the same due.

In Florida as well as most other states, we only pay taxes on the lease payments and cap cost reduction, not the full purchase price of the vehicle. I gave them $2,500 and they added a credit/rebate of $1,007 for total money of $3,507. That went to pay for first months payment as well as all initial fees, there was $750 left over for a capital cost reduction. I still pay interest of MF .00177 ~ 4.25% on each payment ( F. Rent Charge $4,293). The monthly payment breakdown of $473 is $323 (depreciation) + $119 (interest/rent) + $31 (taxes 7% in FL) = $473
No end of month specials or any other deals that I was aware of, although not sure where the $1,007 of credit came from, but theres also a misc fee of $763. This dealership is one of the highest volume audi dealers in the US, so they probably have more leeway on price. Shoot for a 10% disc off msrp.
I was quoted 489 per month in a 2018 Q5 with a MRSP of 49,100. 10k mikes for 36 months. Can anyone let me know their views on this deal? Only money down is for taxes, deposit and first month totaling about 3k. No capital reduction payment. Thanks for any help or assistance.

Do you pay tax on the entire sale price? If the 'deposit' is a security deposit you get back at end of lease, I'm no pro, but that sounds pretty good. Audi has an $895 acquisition fee. With no other costs, I'm estimating about a $7,100 reduction in MSRP, excluding any other reductions. Almost sounds too good to be true. Tread carefully and check the numbers. I'd get a copy of the worksheet and use the lease calculator. Know how your state treats taxes on a lease.
Also need to know trim line - for Premium residual is 61%, for Premium Plus 57%. P+ makes the monthly price more unbelievable. Another $1800 off. Who cares if you don't get that deposit back. I'd sign before they realize their mistake.
Comments
Higher trim levels, with all the features, depreciate faster (tech gets old quickly). Hence, lower residuals. Honda has this issue, as well.

$6000 down? Works out to $604 month, which I guess isn't terrible for a Q5 these days. Does it include Audicare?
Again, never put ANYTHING down on a lease. All leases should be zero drive off, IMHO. I know I'll only do those.
