2018 Audi Q5 Lease Deals and Prices

Was quoted the following in Michigan for an up-front single payment lease. I'm curious about the MF because I thought you could avoid financing fees if you paid the entire lease up front. Let me know if we should look for further discount in regards to financing as the selling price seems reasonable to me.

There is a discount to the MF for a one-pay lease (.00060 for Audi). Base MF on the Q5 is .00158, so the one-pay MF should be .00098. Therefore, the MF is marked up by the dealer.

57% residual for 36/7.5K; are you adding AudiCare?

8% is a good discount from sticker, but they are taking some of that back with the inflated MF.

I confirm the $1500 incentive.

Paying for a lease upfront doesn't absolve you of finance charges. The bank that leases the vehicle to you, has to pay the full purchase price for it. If all you've paid was the depreciation, they'd lose money, every month.

I just leased a Q5 P+ In Atlanta. I was told Audi will pay the first month ($550.46) because of “The Summer of Audi Sales Event.” I paid $1625 down, but in the final numbers, I saw that only $1074.54 was applied. Meaning they kept $550.46 as the first payment. 

Is is this sleazy? I essentially paid for a month that they said was covered. 

Lastly, the salesman said we wouldn’t have a payment due for 60 days, however, the finance guy with whom we signed the papers, said it was just 30 with today’s payment being covered. Should it actually have been 60 days?

Any feedback would be cool.

Technically, they don't pay the first payment, they give you a rebate in the same amount. That's for taxation purposes. So, they'll still show you making the payment, but your rebate should be $2050 ($1500 rebate + 1st payment).

And, your salesperson is wrong... next payment comes in 30 days.

Assuming 10% sales tax.
The sales tax number is irrelevant, as PA taxes the monthly payment.
The only upfront tax would be tax on the rebate and any other CAP reduction
So, your $620 payment is about $564/mo.+tax

$2800 upfront
$620 first payment
$895 acquisition fee
$300 doc fee
$200 DMV fees
$300 upfront tax on rebates/acq.fee
That leaves about $435/mo. for CAP reduction
And.. a payment of about $557/mo.+tax.

I did a lot of estimating, and that's only $7/mo. off their quote, so I doubt any money factor markups.
If it's not the TechValue package and the residual is 53%, then I'm off about $6/mo. the other way.

That seems really high for NJ tax. I would have estimated about $1650-$1700

I'll guess about $500 for CAP reduction, as I get a $620/mo. payment with your selling price.

That's about $720/mo, if you amortize the extra money upfront (in addition to the first payment).
That wouldn't excite me..

I'm in 92262, so I would be looking at mid $600 for payment including tax. I can't figure out what the MF is in this scenario. How do you figure that out working backwards?

I couldnt get a break down on the fees. I was quoted 755 per month with 2k down (towards taxes, doc fees). I gave an offer that i can commit if its around 625 per month. But got it to 650$ in the end. Wish i could get the break down.

I hate the Q when the dealer asks what number do you have in your mind.
