1) Has anyone purchased or leased either Q5 or SQ5 in Prestige with Drivers Assist?
The initial batch of Q5s and SQ5s did not have the option for Driver's assist. I waited until mid may when they released the option to order it to place my order.
I placed my order in May and forgot to post here, but I think the deal is still pretty close to current offers? Or are they much better?
I had originally wanted a Q5, but with the residuals, it seemed stupid not to get a SQ5 since I wanted the Driver's assistance package.
I did an SQ5 Prestige w/ Driver's assist, Cold Weather, Audi Guard for 10k/36 with AudiCare. (This is new york so I get screwed on fees and taxes... yay!)
Please can you provide me with the MF and Res for 2018 Quottro Q5 for FL (36/12)? Thank you
Current offer: MSRP - 51485
DISCOUNT - 4000
ADJUSTED PRICE - 47485
NET BALANCE (AFTER TAXES, DOC FEE ) - 49155
36 Month with 2500 down - $682
Does these numbers makes sense?
Thanks
What trim level?
Florida taxes the monthly payment.
What is the breakdown of the $2500?
It is for premium plus. 2500 is a high down payment . I would rather do 1st minth + Dmv. They have a high doc fee- 899. Is this enough information for calculating lease payments? Trying to make sense out of these nunbers. Appreciate your feedback
Any reason to wait until July 4th for any incentives/bonus cash? Everyone seems to advertise some kind of "SALE".
What is the typical trend in the industry? Does Audi typically do anything special for July 4th?
As of now, Audi's lease program expires today. That doesn't mean they couldn't extend the program through the holiday, but we may not get word of that.
Either way, I don't see any incentives coming for this model, though money factors and residuals could change.

I agree that first + DMV is the right amount of up front cash.
$899? Ouch.
Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is- then we can figure the payment.
Just picked up a 2018 q5 premium with nav, convenience, heated seats, pano roof. MSRP 49125. Got it for 46000. Base money factor and residual on 36/12k lease.
Thought I would share. This site has been very helpful in shopping around the best deal. May not be the best deal out there but I'm happy with it.

Hi, just wanted to post this since i love the lease discussion forums on Edmunds, I'm interested in the 2018 Audi Q5 and just got a quote from Audi North Miami for 10% off.

I am very new to leasing and am wondering what the general tactic for negotiating is with manufacturer incentives? In my area, they are offering a 2018 Premium for $429/month for 36 months and $3819 cash due at signing (includes 1st month, CCR, and $895 acquisition). If I want to add say the convenience or nav package, is it better to start negotiating with the manufacturer incentive in play or should I wait to bring up the incentive until negotiating the other options and sale price first? Also, is this incentive a decent deal to begin with?

What you are quoting is simply an ad; you can walk into the dealer and likely negotiate a better price on your own.
There are no lease incentives on the 2018 Q5.
For Audi, target 6% off sticker price.
And, we suggest you limit your out of pocket cash to just the first payment and DMV costs.
Maybe this is a backward way of looking at it but... I own a 2012 Q5 2.0 P+ I love it but it's time for something new (I bought it in 2014 and still paying on it). I'd like to lease a 2018 Q5 2.0 P+ and I want my monthly lease payment to be close to what I'm paying now, which is $513. How do I negotiate THAT? I'm in CA

First thing to do is find out the value of your current vehicle, and ask the bank for the payoff amount. That lets you know if you have any cash to work with.
It may be that you have negative equity, and your plan may not be possible.
BB on my car is 20k and I owe 12k. I don't think I'll trade in but sell privately, depends on what a dealership might offer. But I would rather negotiate the deal first then discuss what the trade in would be?
BB on my car is 20k and I owe 12k. I don't think I'll trade in but sell privately, depends on what a dealership might offer. But I would rather negotiate the deal first then discuss a trade in?
They are two separate transactions, so treat them as such.
Don't hide the fact that you may be trading your car in.
And, dealers will tell you, books (or websites) don't buy cars, dealers do. I'd suggest you visit a CarMax to get an honest appraisal number from them. That way, you can keep the dealer honest with their trade value. I got my dealer to bump the trade number by $2K using this strategy.

Okay. leaving the trade out of it... It's doubtful, given the lease program on the 2018 Q5, that you'll come anywhere close to $513/mo.
Hello, I have a lease quote for a 2018 Q5 Premium, MSRP 46125, selling price 43,275, less rebates 2750, plus 895 Bank fee, 423 dmv+doc, 500 driveoff, 36/12k, base MF .00174, 61% residual with a payment of $502.58/month. I want to do a one pay (single pay) lease and am advised from two different dealers that the only discount offered is essentially a reduced money factor to .00144. The one pay quote for the above lease is $17,455 which adds up to approx a $617 reduction compared to the 36 month lease....is this accurate and are there any further discounts offered for one pay by AFS ? any info on a single pay lease with AFS including whether the money sits in a trust account etc, would appreciated! thx!

The MF discount for a 36 month one-pay lease is .00060.
The money goes into an escrow account (I think) and is drawn down each month to satisfy the monthly payment.

I don't think the money actually goes into an escrow account, but that's how it works. AFS gets the money, then credits your account for the payment each month. So, the payoff gradually reduces, just like a regular lease. Only your money factor is lower, and that's where the savings comes in.
36/12 monthly payment $665 Adjusted cap cost $49561
Do these numbers look correct? On the sheet it says CCR $1008. I told them I wanted to pay no down payment and only first month and DMV fees but they insisted there was no "down payment" and it was just first month plus DMV. Am I missing something?

What state is this?
CCR stands for "Cap Cost Reduction" - is the $1108 the only money due at signing? Could be an issue of semantics
This is Texas. Yes I believe $1108 is the only money due at signing. If so, do those numbers work out correctly?
Yes.. the numbers are correct, with .00174 MF and 61% residual
Thanks for the reply. I also realized that the first month payment amount was added to the cap cost, fees, and taxes to arrive at the Gross Cap Cost. It seems odd to me, but why would the first month payment be added to the cost to arrive at Gross Cap Cost?

To arrive at a true 'sign and drive' payment - $0 due at signing.

But I am still paying $1008 at signing (first month payment + DMV fees)...?
Sale Price: $45805

+ Fees: $342
+ Acquisition Fee: $895
+ First monthly Payment: $665
= Gross Cap Cost $50,570
- Down payment $1,008 (first month payment plus DMV fees)

They added everything in, then attributed your upfront payment to CAP cost reduction. It all balances out, in the end.
In a state that taxes the monthly payment, they wouldn't structure it that way, to avoid paying tax on the DMV fees, but that doesn't matter in Texas, as you are paying tax on the full selling price, either way.

Ah ok. I guess it makes sense (just sort of hard to wrap my head around it completely). Do you guys think it's worth it to get Audi care with an increase in residual? The new quote with it shows MSRP 50235 Sale price including Audi care 46674 Taxes 2863 DMV Fees 342 Acquisition fee 895 First payment 677 Gross cap cost 51451 Down payment (first month plus DMV fees) 1020 Adjusted cap cost 50431
It seems like it's worth it? And do these numbers pan out as well? If so, I think it is time to pull the trigger as not sure what else I can negotiate.

We do recommend AudiCare, as the cost is residualized.

I had originally wanted a Q5, but with the residuals, it seemed stupid not to get a SQ5 since I wanted the Driver's assistance package.

I assume I could get a slightly better price now that the residual is .00196, but that's like 2$ a month?
I was also offered a 24 month version of this at same drive off price and 721$ a month,
I can't find the SQ5 forum so I thought I would post here.
2018 Audi SQ5 P+

Thanks in advance!!
However, that is a big mark up on the MF - base rate this month is .00196. That is adding $60-65/mo to my calculated payment.
No idea how the dealer is getting to $930/mo with those prices - that's another $1200 on the cap cost.

In a state that taxes the monthly payment, they wouldn't structure it that way, to avoid paying tax on the DMV fees, but that doesn't matter in Texas, as you are paying tax on the full selling price, either way.

I get the same numbers.
We do recommend AudiCare, as the cost is residualized.
