Today i got a quote at CA for P+, 3yr 10k miles, with $0 down: 6% MSRP off (claimed as invoice price); 63% residual; MF 0.00231 (claimed dealer has no profits with 0.00191).
Could there be more room for negotiation? If so, where at (car price, residual or MF)? Or, shall I wait until July 4th for a better offer?
Really appreciate it!
Politely tell the dealer you won't sign a deal where the MF is marked up.
You might get a smaller discount from sticker - see which gives you the better payment.
6% off sticker is a pretty good price for a new 2018

I too will be shortly looking at this vehicle using above #s. 36Mo/15k. At those MF and RV #s. Where does dealer profit originate ? Will they actually deal at National MF rate?

I let the dealers worry about their profit. The goal is to get the car as cheaply as possible. Most dealers will attempt to markup the rate, and give as small a discount as possible. Your goal is to get the base rate and as much discount as you can.
Will you be successful? On a brand new 2018 model, it might be tough.
Can anyone advise on residual for P+ for 10k or 12k in the Bay Area? Are they still 63%/62%? I had a quote from a dealer, with a downpay of $5,000, the monthly payment is around $650/mo for 10k (with a MF of .00125 rather than the higher #s I see on here), and no matter what I calculate in Excel, I never arrive at $650. Consistently arrive at around $550. What am I missing in my calculations or are they trying to rip me off?
EDIT: That $550 includes the 8.5% sales tax and acquisition fee and an estimated car registration / title /etc. fee rolled into it to the best of my knowledge, and also the purchase price I was able to bump off close to 6% from MSRP, so I'm happy with the price, just confused on the payment.

If the money factor is .00125, then it's probably an independent bank lease, and the residual is probably lower, as well.

Kind of strange. I saw the residual 64% (suspiciously looking like 7.5k) on their (Audi dealership, which I'd think would use Audi FS) computer screen along with the $650 quote and 3% entered APR, but they wouldn't give me a printout; and every time I asked for all the numbers to account for the $650, they don't give me anything. The only way I could get it to match ~$650 was to enter a residual of 55% (yuck). Not even changing the MF to 0.00191 and residual at 63% goes anywhere close to $650. MF @ 0.00191 and 60% residual does go to $630, but still.

AFS doesn't use APRs, so it's probably USBank, or another bank.
Thanks Michael. Here is the breakdown MSRP- $46,105 SP- $42,853 Fees added: Bank Fee- $895 Admin Fee- $590 Doc Fee- $75 Loyalty ($750) Adjusted Cap Cost- $43,663 With tax rolled in, the lease quote is $579

I get $534/mo. with tax.. with those numbers.
I wonder how accurate their money factor and residual are... As, the payment is almost the same, using the actual Audi numbers that we have.
If we purchase AudiCare with the lease, does the cost of AudiCare ($820?) change MSRP / RV?
Eg. car MSRP of $50,000, AC is $820, for total MSRP of $50,820, then multiple residual to get RV to use in lease calculation, say 63% with AC (62% without) = $32,016.60? Or is it independent like the acquisition fee, then MSRP = $50,000 and RV = $31,500?

If that's clear, I hope.
No... it doesn't change MSRP, but it adds 1% to the residual value.
So, on a $50,000 car, you'll still pay the $820, but the residual will be raised 1% (or $500). With $500 less depreciation, your actual cost is $320.

Dealer told me about a week ago that the MF is 0.00216.
Did the MF go down for the Memorial Day weekend from 0.00216 to 0.00191?
Residual of 63% for 10K/yr matches yours.
Thank you.
What numbers should we try to achieve for the SQ5?

Assuming you have top tier credit, the dealer is marking it up for extra profit.

So, on a $50,000 car, you'll still pay the $820, but the residual will be raised 1% (or $500). With $500 less depreciation, your actual cost is $320.
