Our suggestion?

Roll everything but the first payment and license fees into the monthly payment.

If the car is stolen or totaled, you think the state will refund you the sales tax?

And, that other up front money would be lost, as well.

I don't think you'll get a trade-in credit in PA. PA taxes the monthly payment, so there is no upfront tax to be offset by the trade-in (plus, the bank owns the leased car, not you)

I wouldn't put $4000 up front for a lease - just first payment and DMV costs. Add everything else to the CAP cost.

It's structured that way, to make sure taxes are collected on the proper amount.
They aren't adding the $2985 back in... Just showing where the upfront money is coming from. $2201 from you and $2985 from Audi.

The only variables in a lease are the MF and the CAP cost - if the dealer is using a higher than standard MF, tell them you want the base rate, or you walk

Then, make sure you understand exactly how the dealer got to the CAP cost, every fee, tax, whatever. We are only using the numbers you've provided us - the math is the math.

I received a quote today for a 24 mo lease of A4 Quatro for PA with 0 down (150.00 USD due on drive off, 1 month payment waived), and 706.00 / mo with a 6% discount on MSRP.

They quoted a residual of 60% and MF of .00053. Seems like not good of a deal, but the dealer was not budging from the 6% discount. Are the Residual and MF accurate?
