    Yes ....AWD in the SE and FWD in the SEL as once I equip the SE with the features I want it is priced similar to an SEL FWD (And it is difficult to locate an SE FWD in this area but the others are available and on the lot)

    Looking to get residual and money factor for 2018 VW Tiguan SEL 4MOTION and SEL Premium 4Motion.

    Also, I live in PA but am talking to a dealer in VA. They're telling me that lease rates would be higher for me because I'm out of state. Is this baloney?

    Let me clarify. I understand the tax rate is higher, but they're saying the money factor is much higher and trying to steer me into a loan.

    Yeah, that's what I thought. The prices in the DC area for VWs are much cheaper than where I live and it seems like the rest of the country.

    I need to run this offer past someone with more experience. It is my son's potential first lease.

    Drive Offs $669 (first month, license/registration fees/tax)
    24 months
    12K miles
    Disposition fee 395
    Acquisition fee 675

    Payment $209.16

    Son promised to not have a car payment more than $199 including tax. So he needs to get the dealer to either give more of a discount (currently $5530) or have them come down in price to say $19775 right? Or he pays 9.16 x 24 months as a down payment I guess.

    Does it make a difference? Is it better to have a lower sales price or more discount?
    Also, does calling the college grad $500 a rebate mean anything? Shouldn't it be an taxed incentive? VW calls it a $500 Contract Bonus.

    The calculations are correct.
    That all looks good... the disposition fee is paid at lease end, not upfront.
    More discount = lower sale price. There is no "or".


    That looks like a pretty good deal.
    To get under $200/mo, he needs $200 more off.
    If you are making the payments, just have him give you $10/mo. to make it even, assuming the dealer won't discount further.

    From 1st contact(no nego, just asked) dealer in San Diego, I got the following number.
    I asked zero drive off zero down for 2018 VW Jetta SE trim, 36month/10k. Then dealer replied $331 incl. tax, that is with $1000 discount and no dealer add ons.
    how does it sound?

    If Tiguan, FWD or AWD?

    Also, we'd need the MSRP, the selling price and the adjusted cap cost in order to give you an opinion.

    Got another dealer to do the 12K/24 at $184 plus tax = $199.18 with $670 drive off (first month, tag, tax, tire) on the 2018 Tiguan S with an MSRP $25,900 today. Yay. Happy child = Happy mom. Thanks so much you guys!
