    To get that payment, you need about $2900 added to the CAP cost, above the net price.
    The $4500 trade-in... .that's net? All of that applied to the CAP?

    $675 acquisition fee
    $1075 tax (estimated)
    $400 dealer fee (estimated)
    That's only $2150.... That leaves us about $750 short.

    I'll assume dealer fees are paid upfront, since you have $579 due at signing.

    Do you have the actual adjusted CAP cost?

    VW does have an MSD program, though I don't remember the details.

    Other than VW and Toyota, only the luxury makes offer MSDs.
    Most VW/Toyota dealers have probably never done an MSD deal, and may not be up on it.

    I went with my friend to White-Allen a couple of years ago to lease a Passat. They were pretty upfront with everything. It was a good experience.

    Can I please get the relevant info for 36/10k lease in 11231. SE trim with 4 motion. Dealer here quoted me: With $3368 down (this includes everything including first month) you would be at $409 a month. Money factor is .00120 and residual is $18,036.

    This seems excessively high to me. I’ve asked for cap cost to see what he’s basing these numbers off. Would love any help and feedback regarding what kind of deal I should be looking for!

    Why so much up front cash? We recommend just first payment and any registration costs only.

    Does the cap cost include or exclude the $1000 incentive? May be room to move on price if it includes the incentive.

    Hi, I am having trouble with my excel lease calculator coming to these numbers the dealer gave me. I am close but I think it has to do with maybe the taxes he is calculating??

    This is for a Tiquan SE 4Motion for zip code 45458 with a 7.25% tax rate. MSRP 30,570, selling price 26,350. 59% residual value, or 18,036. 36 month terms with 10K per year. MF of .00120 and cash cap reduction of $1595.93 Cap fees of $1,040 (which include doc fee=250, acquisition fee 675, license fee 100 and title 15). Adjusted Cap Cost shows $26,493.78. Amount due at signing is $2000. Disposal fee at lease end $395. Payment for this car is $288.37

    Need another set of eyeballs on this to validate what they are telling me. Again I can get close on my caluclations but not exact.

    With that adjusted CAP, the calculations are exact.

    Are you having trouble getting to that CAP cost?
    Keep in mind that the tax in OH is collected upfront and is in the CAP, not collected monthly.

    So KYFDX, in OH the tax is added to the cap cost. but in essence it is still part of the monthly, payment, just not as as third componet. Yes, you are correct, I was struggling with the CAP cost.

    That's correct... Either you pay the state, upfront, or VCI pays the state, and then adds it to your CAP cost.
