Ok hopefully my last post. Hope to make a deal today.  The dealership is saying that is .00090 on FWD and .00120 on AWD. They seem agreeable to showing me their sheet etc.  can anyone confirm. So far this is all by phone but I have a relationship with this dealer.

No money down, or no money out of pocket? Not the same thing. You'll have an acquisition fee and a dealer doc fee you will be responsible for.

Yes, SEL Prem has the worst least numbers of any Tiguan trim level.

I'm in 30307 and in the market for a 2018 Tiguan, SE 4-Motion. I went to a dealership this weekend and their leasing guy refused to give me MF and RV for a 10/36 lease after three requests (kept sending back that damn chart with monthly payments), so I walked.

I reached out to (emailed) another VW dealer that I really like. I asked if they could be straight up and just give me the numbers, and I'd make a fair profit offer of 4% over their true cost. Said I might be leasing so please include those #s as well. I was really pleased with the response - see the attached screenshot. Problem is, I'm having trouble translating the line items from their dealer software into the terms I've come to understand via online research.

Could you please help me interpret this, specifically the items listed below? Many thanks in advance.

11. Selling Price: $28,957. In his email he said this number is 4% over their True Cost. Do they really track it like that in their internal systems? Coincidence that it's exactly what I offered to pay (4% over true cost)? Wouldn't they be tracking "Invoice" in this system? I'm not seeing that.

11. The concept of "invoice" and "true cost" are myths. We will never know what the dealer is paying VW for the car. Negotiate your best price.
12. Any fees you are not paying up front are added to the CAP cost, or "Capped". Ask the dealer what these fees are - likely the acquisition fee of $675 and a dealer fee
13. This is an incentive to the customer
15. This is the amount left over from the $1000 incentive, after the first payment is made. Being used to lower the CAP cost
25. and 27. The way this deal is structured, all taxes and fees are being added into the CAP cost and made part of the monthly payment. The $1000 incentive is used to make the first payment, and the rest is used to reduce the CAP cost. My guess is that this is a "Sign and Drive" lease - no money from you when you sign the paperwork.

We don't track pricing, so can't really tell you if there is more to give on the selling price. The Tiguan is a popular vehicle.

Yes, AWD thank you! I currently have a lease 2016 Jetta sport 1.8t fwd. which I love (just moved from Florida) expires end of this oct. looking at any dealer near the 80203 zip code. Which ever I can get the best deal. But looking closer at Emich VW and Tynan’s Vw. 

I live downtown town and do street parking (hence why I’m interested in the limited/smaller) so I don’t really need a car, would just be nice. Hoping to use that to my advantage.

Hi, a dealer said that VW would pay off my Hyundai Lease if I have 3 or fewer payments left (I only have 1, plus the turn in fee).
Does this factor into the CAP cost or is that totally separate and they'd do that anyway?

I don't have any information on a pull-ahead program for competitive leases.
That doesn't mean there isn't one. But, my guess would be that it would factor into the price you pay.
