If you don’t mind, here’s a hypothetical scenario.  Could you let me know what payment you would get in NJ for a Tiguan SE 36/12?  I have a few other clarifying questions below as well.

MSRP:  $31,520
Sale price:  $27,500 (about 12.75% discount)
MF:  0.00125 (3%)
Residual Value:  58%

Registration/DMV:  $170
Acqusition:  $675
Documentation:  $88
TOTAL FEES:  $933  (Are these fees realistic? Missing anything?)

I think you have to pay 3 years of registration in NJ at lease inception, so figure $300

Most NJ dealer doc fees are $299-$499

You can't apply all of your upfront money to CAP reduction. The first payment goes to pay the first payment. If you are paying DMV fees, upfront, then leave them out of the CAP cost, and have no CAP reduction.

NJ taxes are collected upfront. So, add them to your upfront, or add them to the CAP cost, and recalculate the payment.

$4000 off, plus incentives seems optimistic. But, good luck.

Adding that to the CAP gives me an adjusted CAP of $28,138
