What you are missing is the adjusted cap cost, which takes into consideration all the taxes and fees.

Ask the dealer for this information; if they resist, think about what that tells you about the dealer.

On the other hand, I just received a new quote of $365, which seems to be much better than the original $427 (taxes included).

In this case, $300 lease cash is a dealer incentive from VW. Hopefully, it allows you to negotiate a better price.

It's WA state, but no taxes are included as the trade-in credit covers them for the length of the lease.

Looks to me like they took the maximum markup of .00125 on the money factor for a total MF of .00205.

I'd just say no.. That adds $71/mo. to the payment.

I get $387/mo. on the 36 months, so pretty close.
$1656 extra added... With tax and acquisition fee that should be about right.
Given the $700 incentive on this vehicle, the dealer is discounting about $1130.

It's an average deal. I certainly wouldn't sign up for an extra year, just to save $10/mo, though.

Hello, I just signed a lease on a Tiguan SE/4motion w/sunroof, 3/36000 for $384.49 a month (taxes included) and $0 out of pocket.  I used the info on this forum to negotiate and think it's a good deal, but wanted to get your thoughts on it nonetheless.

First dealer I visited wanted $407 for 48 months, and told me to go shop somewhere else when I said that was absurd!...

Just FYI, last month I was quoted $392 for a 2018 Tiguan SE AWD with only DMV fees and first month down (sign and drive). Not a bad deal but I figured I would wait until the end of December since its usually when I see the best deals as dealers are trying to give their numbers a final boost before the year is over.
