    Thanks, Michaell!  I actually just sent my sales guy an email asking that very question. After playing around with the numbers, I suspect the trade equity is being applied as cap cost reduction, which would mean the sales price is actually $50,772 if I keep the trade money in my pocket. If so, I think the deal loses some appeal, no?

    It's a Mercedes-to-dealer incentive. You won't see it on your paperwork, but hopefully reflected in a lower selling price.
