Looking for MF and RV for 2018 GC Laredo 4x4 in CO 12k/36, 15k/36, 12k/39 and 15k/39. Do these RV's and MF's change for Altitude and Limited 4x4's?

Each trim has their own numbers
    36/39, 15K/yr
Altitude: .00016 MF and 51%/48% residual
Limited: .00012 MF and 51%/49% residual

    Add 2% for 12K/yr

I"m looking at a 2018 Jeep GC High Altitude 4x2. Dealer called with the numbers yesterday and it seems the monthly via Ally is about $30-$40 cheaper per month. Any pros/cons leasing via Ally versus Chrysler Capital? I've always done CC. What would the MF and RV be for the High Altitude 15k per year via Chrysler? Any incentives?
.00019 and 49% for 36/15 Ally (and US Bank) often have larger incentives for leasing, which is an advantage. We don't have their MF or RV to compare, however, but I'm not surprised that the Ally deal is less. The only concern I would have is that Ally isn't as likely to work with you at the end of the lease; Chrysler Capital would like to have you as a repeat customer, so may be more flexible about end of lease charges.
Us bank i know for a fact is notorious for being awful at lease end. They often charge ppl 2-3k for regular things.

Why are dealers giving me high 500's? One even said $683 & i wanted to laugh but it was just so sad lol. The mf they had was .0015 what gives? One even said the lease is calculated on sales price before rebates. Um WHAT???
I'm using Chrysler Capital numbers; find out what bank your dealers are using for their quotes.
    Does mqp0z mean something?

    @jjoy8994

I think NY taxes interest, as well as depreciation.
Max doc fee in NY is $75
Chrysler Finance acquisition fee is usually $595.
CAP cost reductions are taxed separately.

But, your calculations are all set up correctly, as far as depreciation and finance charges

Thanks for the feedback! Couple of other questions then.

Purchase in NY and register in NJ I would pay NY sales tax correct?

Also What are the MF/RES numbers on 12k/39 months? 4x4 GC Altitude.

Just got a quote back for just under 400.00 12/39 $0 down startup fees, first payment, and taxes out of pocket.

members first. their mf is an insane .0015
Why would anyone use them do they give dealers a kickback?
I am comparing the various quotes and offers and where the discount is high they use Mem1 and so it kills on the interest.
Another thing if I insist on Chrysler numbers, half the rebates seem to "disappear". Fishy.

One last thing: when we calculate the pretax payment based on the usual cap cost plus resid times MF Plus resid less cap cost over term - we all get numbers that match(we meaning us on here). When I compare them to the various dealer numbers their "finance" bros keep insisting the rebates arent included in lease calculations. Um excuse me? In what world is the payment calculated on a before rebate/ non-netcap cost basis? what's the point of saying we'll give you the car for say $44 K when you're listing the other sales price as only 1.5 or 2k off MSRP and basing the lease calc on that number? What gives?

Rebates are higher through third party banks. It's called an IDL rebate.

I can't answer the questions you have for the F&I rep.

But the general way to calculate is the same regardless of bank isnt it? Meaning you calculate depreciation & interest using the resodual & net cap cost which is the sales price less rebates & discounts. Right?

$15085 would be the adj cap. Entire out of pocket over the life of the lease.

What lease term and how many miles per year?

    Sorry 36 month/ 10 and 12k
    2018 - .00012 and 54% / 53%

2017 Grand Cherokee lease thread is here:

    https://forums.edmunds.com/discussion/42511/jeep/grand-cherokee/2017-jeep-grand-cherokee-lease-deals-and-prices#latest

Got an offer for 36/12. Msrp: 44475 selling price: 37220 residual 53% money factor .00012 $0 down sign and drive

    35 payments of $449 including 9% tax

talked them down to $431 before walking out. I think there’s some more room to be had. Any thoughts from my fellow forum folks?
If it's a sign a drive lease, what is the adjusted cap cost with the taxes, fees and first payment rolled in?

$15085 would be the adj cap. Entire out of pocket over the life of the lease.

That is the total of the lease payments - we need the selling price plus all the taxes and fees added in.

    What trim? 4x4 or 4x2?

What lease term and how many miles per year?

We don't recommend any down payment on a lease.

A general question. This is the "reasoning" I am hearing from dealers re the payments they calculate:
"A lease is calculated on Sales Price before Rebates, and then the rebates come off that number based on the bank with the best payments".

This seems to be in direct contradiction to our formula - ie you take the "sales price", any cap cost reductions ie rebates or cash down etc, then that is your net cap cost which is what is used in the depreciation/interest calculations.

Is my understanding flawed? Or is this just their tactic to pocket an extra xyz K? Because another thing I've noticed is on those "finance sheets" they enter the "rebates/discount" total onto the "cash down" line item. Not sure if this is to expedite the quote or...?

The question is: How does, "and then the rebates come off that number based on the bank with the best payments" work?

I can't parse what someone tells you, without being there and asking them to show me the math, sorry.

well I am not getting an answer to that which is why I asked here - all dealers are doing this thing where they calculate on the "sales price before rebates" and look at me like I have 2 heads when I say that is wrong.

    The numbers were:
    ms 51785
    sale price 48785
    rebates 2500

insert that explanation "lease is done on sales price then rebates come off" but add "but your lease price is still the 48785-2500.

    NF .00017
    53 resid
    mp of 492.

I dont think they are caluclatng it using a net cap cost of sales price less rebates.
    So again:

They might be listing it that way to account for sales tax, as the rebates are taxable. Remind me again what state this is?

    How many months?
What is the amount due at signing with this quote?

With the 9%-11% tax on leases in PA, they are definitely crediting the rebates, or they'd never get down to that payment. Your payment is a lot lower than what I calculate, using your lease parameters.
