I get $389/mo with those prices. Guessing that some of that up front cash is going to cap reduction, to lower the payment.

The payment calculation is correct for 39 months.
Roll the $2500 back into the CAP cost, and you are at $425/mo, with just first payment due at signing.

That's a pretty good deal. And, that's the way I would structure it.

Hello, new to this website and looking for some feedback. Looking at leasing a 2018 GC altitude with speakers and sunroof (MSRP of $41,975). What should I be shooting for as far as monthly payment goes? Was given a quote but it seems high ($17,100 total out of my pocket (fees, taxes, etc) for 36 month lease with 12k a year). I know there is a lot of talk about MF and RV but its easier for me to understand as just what the monthly payment should be! Thank you!

Its a 4x4 in CT our tax rate is 6.35. I don't know the selling price, we have affiliate pricing and he said that we'd get 1% below invoice. The "PP" price?? is 37,000 - which I do not know what that means. We have a trade in they're giving us 3,000 for and we were going to put additional cash down example was another 4k down (so 7k) and payments $289/month. We were trying to stay under $300, but understand it is probably best to just keep the extra cash down in our pocket and put towards monthly payments, it all seems to be a wash in the end whether we put the money up front or spread it out for 36 mo.

Its a 4x4 in CT our tax rate is 6.35. I don't know the selling price, we have affiliate pricing and he said that we'd get 1% below invoice. It's a wash only if you make it to the end of the lease.

If the car is stolen or totaled, then all that upfront money and equity would be lost, which is why we recommend against it. We suggest only the first payment and any registration costs be paid at signing.

On a related note. I'm looking at the 4x2 version. The dealer said the residual on a MSRP $38680 4x2 version is $19,700. This is 51%. Seems low.

For 4x4, the numbers are .00016 and 53%

With the MSRP and cap cost provided, I get $390/mo with tax included.

MF bump could account for the difference. Confirm the cap cost with the dealer, as well as if this is a Chrysler Capital funded lease.

That negotiation started at 2,500 out of pocket 427.00 a month.  I’m at a take it or leave it postition at this point with the dealer.  In their words...”it’s Presidents Day weekend and I have to move cars, I’m taking a loss on this deal I can’t move any more on the numbers.”

I’m pretty happy with the nunbers...but it would certainly feel better if I knew it was a good deal. If I go through with this did I leave much on the table?
