With those prices, I get $369/mo, as well.

Only way to improve on it is to negotiate a better selling price.

That negotiation started at 2,500 out of pocket 427.00 a month.  I’m at a take it or leave it postition at this point with the dealer.  In their words...”it’s Presidents Day weekend and I have to move cars, I’m taking a loss on this deal I can’t move any more on the numbers.”

I’m pretty happy with the nunbers...but it would certainly feel better if I knew it was a good deal. If I go through with this did I leave much on the table?  

We don't track selling prices, or tell you when it's okay to pull the trigger.

That's a pretty cheap lease payment, relative to MSRP, though.

There are incentives there that if you qualified for one, you automatically wouldn't qualify for the other.. They just threw a whole lot of crap against the wall. Ads like that are a joke.

Our numbers come from Chrysler Capital. It's possible the Trackhawk has a higher money factor, or it's possible that the dealers are counting on someone that leases a $100K Grand Cherokee not being especially price sensitive..

I just drove off with a new 2018 JGC 4x4 Sterling and based on math I was doing in my own I think I did really well, but now after looking closely at the contract signed I’m a little confused. Can you tell me how I did? This is NY, 39/12 lease. 

MSRP: $47,285
Gross CC: $46,254.28 (I believe price $44,544 plus $75 doc fee and $1,635.28 in taxes) 
CC Reduction: $3,664.29
ACC: $42,589.99
RV: $24,115.35
Rent charge: $312.05 (???)
total of pmts: $18,786.69

Payment: $481.71 everything rolled in
Paid $742.25 cash on the spot (first month, $83.75 reg, $12.50 waste tire, $170 or so DMV)

Nope, looks like a solid payment for so little out of pocket.

The rent charge is the total amount of interest you'll pay during the life of the lease ($8/mo)

Having a hard time getting a straight answer from any dealer in upstate NY on the actual numbers on a 4x4 Altitude. Using the 0.00016 MF and 53% residual in our region for 36 mo, plus the known rebates from Chrysler Capital, my math and their math isn't adding up.

Here's what I've been proposing:

MSRP: $41,975
Sell price offered by me: $39K
Res. $22,246
Gross Cap: $40,421 (Sell price + $75 doc fee + $1,346 8% sales tax)
Net Cap: $34,171 ($40,421 - $2,500 trade - $3750 rebates)
Monthly depreciation fee: $331.25
MF monthly fee: $9.03
Monthly payment: $340.58

Also offering to pay first month and DMV fees at signing ($200 ish) to avoid financing them. But I keep being looked at like a I have two heads when I present these numbers. We're well over $100 apart on monthly payment.

I'm a new-ish to the lease game, so it's possible my math is off or wrong. But wanted to confirm with you guys to be sure.

Since we don't have the Chrysler Capital incentives, are you certain of the $3750? Because that is just over $100/mo difference on the payment.

Confirm that the dealer is using the base MF; they can mark it up as much as .00042 for extra profit.

Through my work, I'm an Chrysler affiliates rewards member. I called them to confirm incentives and they told me I'm eligible for $3,250 ($2500 standard rebate, plus $750 for returning leasee). During my last visit, when I presented my numbers, dealer told me he "found me $500 more in rebates." Assuming that just came off some other place.

Even with that, they were still asking for $426/mo with $1K down.

Sorry. Latest offer was $398 with $1k down (which I'm not going to do), with extra $500 rebate and supposedly using my 0.00016 MF. Their residual was right (53%) but nothing else seemed to be.

They won't show me despite me repeatedly asking. When I told him MF needed to be 0.00016, he claimed to type it in. But all I'm getting is a topline view of the numbers - MSRP, Gross Cap, Res. Net Cap, etc. - not the breakdown of what figures are being used to get to those numbers.

And so far, that's been the case at 2 of 4 Jeep dealers in the area.

Look further outside the radius. Not sure where you are but you can work out numbers via email ahead of time. The net divisions are more forthcoming w numbers sometimes. 

I'm sure ppl running the #s this yr really dont know how to calculate. I had one dealer who i could match to a $1 bht the others had strange calcs like yours. Theyre either lying or dont know how to calculate. Find another.

The Chrysler Capital numbers we have show .00008 and 49% for 39/10

This may be a lease offer through Ally or US Bank; we do not have their program numbers.
