When I plug in those numbers, I get $717/mo before tax.

We'd suggest you skip the $3K up front; you'd lose that money if the car were stolen or totaled.

Thanks Michaell! It was a quote from a dealership. Got another quote on an X5 demo with 4,000 miles in NC. I get a lease payment of $696 with $0 down and $633 with $2k down. I used same assumptions asking for 12,000 miles.

I did not. I think that is what they did. With that I get to $724 with 0 down and 12k miles and $661 with 2k down and 12k miles

On the last one, I get $678/mo, if the net price is the adjusted CAP cost.

But, not sure what the "net price" includes. It definitely doesn't include the $925 acquisition fee.

Couple questions:

1) Residual & MF look right?
2) Is the discount fair for a demo?
3) Do you expect any improvement in pricing or programs in December?

Yes, residual and money factor appear to be correct. (including residual reduction for mileage)

I get $631/mo.+tax, assuming $2480 covers 1st payment, DMV/doc and $925 acquisition fee (which, it should)
Sure looks like they are taking the maximum markup on the money factor (.00222).

Nearly 15% off looks like a good deal, but I don't see any lease credit in that calculation.
If the $9000 off is inclusive of the lease credit, it's not as good. And, a money factor markup is never good.

You can lock in the current rate.
As long as you get it in writing from your dealer, you can switch to the current program at time of delivery.

Could you please clarify how the lease credit should be applied? I am looking at a demo 2018 x5. If the car is being discounted ~15%, should I be asking the dealer if the $2500 has been applied or ask them to apply it on top of the proposed discount?

It's applied as a CAP cost reduction.

You'll have to ask the dealer if they've included it in their quoted price. 15% off including the rebate wouldn't be that great. If it's 15% off, minus the rebate, then that is not bad.

looks quite decent to me. I’ve been trying to get dealers giving me $7000 off on X5, but they only want to do it on a few selected cars (“loss leaders”), not on the ones I want. I am qualified for another $1000 loyalty rebate.

Seems awesome. you get it? I get around $645 + tax and fees using the standard numbers. Are you putting anything down besides tax, tags, and 1st month?

I don't know how they are coming up with that number but good for you. I believe taxes would be around $1650, so the money down makes sense, but still have the payment around $640 assuming 58% RV and .00182 MF. I did reduce the RV based on the current mileage since it's a demo too.
