Are you paying the taxes and fees up front, or adding them into the lease payment?

With the prices provided, I calculate a payment of $200/mo

Yes - ask them for the adjusted cap cost used in their payment quote, and how they got there from the selling price.

Add up all the amounts on the page... plus the first payment, then deduct the $1000 upfront.
That yields an adjusted CAP of $18,087, and a payment of $223/mo.

Just make sure your friend does not put money down on a lease, the rule is no money down (cap reduction)
