    Please?

    36/10
    57% residual
    0.75% APR

    39/10
    55% residual
    1.00% APR

    $2500 lease cash
Gosh, this stuff is so confusing I don't know what is the sweet spot for this car. I'm sorry to ask again but is there any way you can fill in the blanks bolded blanks so I can play around with this a bit more?

    Orlando FL, AWD Platinum 2018

    24/10: ??% , APR?
    24/12: ??% , APR?

    36/10: 57%, .75% APR
    36/12:??% , APR?

39/10: 55%, 1.0% - Lower Residual and higher APR doesn't seem like 39 is the way to go here.
    39/12: ??% , APR?

Also when calculating Ford's leases is the APR basically the same concept as MF for everyone else? Just take the APR and divide by 2400? And then calculate as usual?
For 36 and 39 months, the APR is the same, regardless of mileage.

Yes, divide APR by 2400 to get MF decimal equivalent.

    24/10 - 63% and .28% APR

Subtract 1% from the 10K residual for 12K, all terms

KDFX above said 36 and 39 had had .75% and 1.00% APR respectively... are you sure than 36/39 is the same APR regardless of mileage?

I know this is stupid… but I have to confirm.

When we say divide the lease APR… what is the appropriate math?

the Lease APR I’m looking at for example is 0.28%.

    So is this 0.0028/2400?

    Or is it 0.28/2400?

I’d think it’d be the first one but I want to be 100% certain?

    Sorry, I was unclear.

All 36 month APR is the same, whether you take 10,12 or 15K
Same for 39 months - it is a different APR than 36 months, but does not change based on the mileage allowance.

Looking for numbers on a 2018 XLT 36/15k in NJ
    Was given this
    MSRP -46145
    Discount - 4550
    Rebate- 1500
    Adj price - 40,095
    Tax-1240
    Non-tax fees 1,086
    Tax fees -249
    Doc fee - 425
    Net Price - 43095

For 36/15k and 0 down its $563 per month.

Does this sound right? I see there is 2500 in lease cash, but I want to see if they included that in the 4550 and should ask for a bigger discount, or if this is a sound deal

    51% and (we think) .75%

I'm within $1 of that quote.

Yes, I'd look for a bigger discount from sticker.

Ford has residuals up to 19,500 miles per year ---

    51% and .75%

    Add 1% for 18,000 miles
    Add 2% for 16,500 miles
    Add 3% for 15,000 miles

Email quote for an XLT 12k/36mo Lease with Zero Down was 388.07. This price includes sales and excise tax here in MASS. The MSRP is 37,735 residual is 53% at 19,999.52 APR .4

I went in today expecting to haggle a little bit more but they stuck to that price.

Two other dealers quoted me via email, 461.93 and 438.00 both of which include taxes and both the Same MSRP/vehicle and term

Is the 388 a good deal. I guess I went to the dealer today expecting some negotiation and was surprised when they stuck to that price.

Also the upfront are $1700 which my 11 year old trade will square.

    Thank you.

What is the selling price associated with that $388/mo quote?

And, were the sticker prices of the cars at the other dealers similar? Higher MSRP will generally give you a higher payment.

What is the breakdown of the $1700 in up front costs?

All three dealer Quotes were for the same model.
    XLT 36,170 +570(tow package)+ 995(destination) = 37,735

Below is the email from the dealer with the breakdown of the 388 payment
"Absolutely. Our internet price is 33385 inc incentives. The lease numbers I gave you are based on
$31,539. The residual is 53% which is $19,999.52 the rate is .4%"

I am pretty sure the paperwork listed the $ 1700 as first payment / doc fee / plates/ registration - I should have been more clear and have emailed the dealer. My trade came in at 1500 (which I fully expected) but they upped it to 1700 (1732) so no money would be out of pocket.

Edit to add: my wife believes the 1700 was sales tax and doc fee. The monthly payment includes just the excise tax, not sales and excise as first thought.

I hope that helps and thanks for the response

If I use the $31,539 as the cap cost, I get $329/mo plus tax.
If I use the $33,385 as the cap cost, I get $381/mo plus tax.

In MA, 6.25% sales tax is added to the monthly lease payment.

Neither price takes me to $388/mo - one is higher, the other lower.

Ask the dealer for the cap cost used with the $388/mo payment, and how they got there from the selling price they've quoted.

From reading back emails it looks like The cap cost is $31,539
    monthly payment 329 +21.38(sales tax) + 37.62(excise tax) =388

Excise tax? Haven't seen that in MA.
All three quotes included excise and all three noted Ford is the only company to include in the payment, rather than sending a separate yearly bill.

Typically billed once per year. Cars I have owned the bill comes to my home, with a lease it goes to the leasing company and is added to the account. I also have not seen it added upfront in a lease like this.

Also went to a 4th dealer yesterday and they could not touch this deal so I have an appointment this morning to finalize.

    Good luck!

We also have a personal property tax. The bill also goes to the bank on a lease. Some banks pay it, and bill me. Others just forward the bill to me, as it has to be paid when we renew our registration, annually.

    Monthly is weird.. ;)

Looking for numbers on the following....

    2018 Explorer XLT 4WD
    36 month term
    15K miles per year
    Zip Code 40353

    Any lease cash available?

Also...how is lease cash typically applied to the deal? I'm trying to use these online calculators but I don't want to mis-calculate before I go to the dealer.

    Thanks so much!

    0.75% APR
    51% residual
    $2850 lease cash

Not real familiar with Ford Credit, but it's definitely a consumer incentive. Likely to be listed as a CAP cost reduction on the lease.

So just in your opinion...and of course I won't quote this to any dealer...but would the lease cash be in addition to any dealer discounts? Obviously the goal here being to try and get as far below MSRP as possible.

Yes... of course. Negotiate a discount, independent of the incentive.

I know Ford’s current MF is .75 for the Explorer i want to lease. To what extent is Ford technically ‘obligated’ to honor that prevailing money factor in their lease calculations? They used 2.75%, when I questioned them, they offered to use 2%. If pressed, should they have to honor the .75%
