Why would you pay tax upfront??? If your car is stolen or totalled in let say crash you will loose the money you paid for tax. It’s strongly advised to add tax to your monthly payments. You should think about it and thank me later

If they try to submit a contract with an invalid residual, the bank will kick it back to the dealer.

Pay for the number of miles you think you will need for 3 years and no more. That is the point of leasing...

I think MF is the same for 12/15K currently at .00110 but RV is different...

you are paying interest on the (cap cost + residual) at the rate of the mf 0.00110 (apr 2.64%) for 3 years. So your 18.25 becomes ~19 with the interest. Not a huge amount but it is in there...

Yes but it’s 20 cents per mile if you go over so 657 divided .20 is 3286 miles. So if you keep your miles under 39286 it would cost less to get a 36k lease and pay the overage

You always want to get the number of miles you think you'll need. One of the risks of leasing is having a change in your lifestyle that changes the number of miles you drive.

Less finance charges in the higher mileage lease, because with the lower residual, you have less monthly finance charges (cap cost + residual) X MF

I was offered the following deal on a 2018 gray 2.0 Sport Accord in Nashville. They wouldn't let me take the worksheet out of the dealership...I should have insisted. From memory, it was something like this:

31200 MSRP
27,491 Sale price
Plus add on of some app that can find the car 299.00
599 (something like that) doc fee
TN 9.25 taxes
I'm probably missing something.

Ultimately sign and drive (nothing at all down) came to $365 a month for 36/12.
At 36/15, comes to $385 (the option I want).

Dealer said he's at the bottom on this and that he can't go any lower. I went to another dealer and he was hesitant to match. Said he needed some money down to go that low and admitted that it's a great deal. What do you think? I'm scheduled to go get it tomorrow.

asonepraise... it's not a bad deal at all. Are those amounts including tax? It's a pretty decent deal considering what a friend of mine just got for the same car. Are those prices including tax ?? Is that sale price including add ons?

I'm working on an deal for the Accord EX that I'm reasonably happy with. My only concern is whether or not I'm going to miss out on a better offer by not waiting a week or two. The current offers on the Accord from Honda expire on 7/5/2018. Does that mean we're not likely to see anything different for Memorial Day weekend or June?

My current lease ends in mid June, so I can't wait until 7/5.

$900 of junk fees = $25/mo added onto the payment.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost for the $385/mo quote, especially if it's sign and drive

Anything is possible, and we don't know what changes may happen between now and then.

If you can wait, there may be changes at the first of June.

I did get the monthly note down to $335 so far but I don't have those figures yet...I know the mf is .0011 and before they said they could come down to $335/month they said the residual value was $15,735.30...any thoughts are appreciated. I just came back from 2 dealers in NJ. Told them that I am willing to pay $330 a month for 36 months for EX-L 2.0 with 1st payment and registration due at signing (around $600) and both said “No deal” ...
I offered $1,000 out of my pocket but still no deal. They want like $2,500 with $350 a month ... crazy!
I could lease an Audi A4 for like $399 a month with this down payment. WTF?

@kyfdx and @Michaell could you please help me with my calculations here? If the dealer agreed to selling price of $28,700 for 2018 EX-L 2.0T and RV with 10K Miles is 58% = $19,058 and MF is .00110 = 2.64% then the way to calculate my payments is to deduct RV from Selling price then add MF 2.64% + 6.875% NJ tax and divide it by 36 months? Correct? I come with like $294 a month ...
What am I missing that dealer want me to pay like $360 a month with $1,500 out of pocket???
