What money factor could I get if I had 674 as my credit score?

Generally, that adds .00045 to the base rate.
But, that could vary. We don't have the exact number for the Accord.

Thanks, I sorted it out myself. There is indeed an inception fee: $965, which equals to Doc fee+tax+first month fee+DMV registration. ($80+$7.4+$439.55+$437.75=$965) So I guess this lease offer is $965 drive-off plus $439.55/mth payment for a 2018 Accord 1.5T Touring. In that case, is this a good one to go with? Or just a average one? Please help advise. Thank you.

    56% and .00128

I get $357/mo plus tax, using your prices.

Either something is going on with the MF, or the selling price is not the cap cost.
Got confirmed from dealer, so it's actually zero drive off with $439.55/mth including tax. Does the number sound right?

    What is the tax rate?

Assuming, for the moment, 9%, the cap cost would have to be around $31,500 to get that payment. If the selling price was in the neighborhood of $28K, that is $3500 worth of "stuff" that's been added.

Seems way too expensive for an Accord.

Looking to lease a 2018 Accord Touring 2.0 in Stillwater or OKC. I'd appreciate any input on discount off of MSRP and dealer fees. I'm seeing proposed fees of $399 for an Admin fee and $595 for an Acq fee. Quoting RV of 56% and MF of .00128.

HFS lease terms are not favorable for Accord leases yet. You are looking at over $500/month for that Touring 2.0T. That's luxury car territory.

That being said, you should aim for a minimum of 10% off msrp on that top-of-line model. Doc fee/admin fee is negotiable in OK and should be considered part of the sell price (because it is)...good luck

Those are the correct lease numbers.

@tonyg2016 has provided good advice on the pricing.

You can lease a nice Acura TLX or Infiniti Q50 for that payment.

    Hello,

I'm gonna go a little off topic to tell the story of my encounter at a Honda dealership of south Cal. I hope it's ok, I think it's interesting.

I went to test drive the 2018 Accord sport 2.0T and I loved it. I still have a lease for 2 months on a campy that has negative equity and not perfect condition so I know I would not buy today but I wanted a quote for a lease over 3 years/36000 miles. Classic.

IMPOSSIBLE to get a detailed quote with price, MF, RV and fees!! the guy is serving the (too) usual (with Honda dealers) obscurantist blabla and all I was able to get is a monthly payment of about $480.

And the way he got to that number is very interesting: he used the MSRP, added taxes and some fees of something like $500 (which ones??), divided the total by 2 and that result by 36.....comments on that??? :)

Anyway, I don't think he realized that, as much as I loved the car, that king of experience is obviously a deal breaker and makes me consider other brands!

I haven't come on this forum for a while. Is the MF .00128 for south Cal now?

Please let me know and feel free to comment my experience :)

    .00128 MF is national.

Many salesman don't know how to calculate a lease payment, but experiences like this can force people away from a brand.

While the lease program on the Accord has improved in April, it's still not great.

The best thing working in your favor? Honda allows dealers to be placed no closer than 10 miles to another Honda dealer, so there are many, many dealers in SoCal to choose from.

I skipped two closer dealers to get an Accord when I lived in CA in the early 1990's.

Some dealers don't understand that the playing field is more level than ever before, and that hiding the numbers is going to alienate a certain (read: knowledgable) population.

Thanks for your feedback. I will definitely give a chance to other dealers before giving up on that car which is really good!

What are the chances that lease program will keep improving in the next months?

Given that Accord sales are down, and sedans in general are falling out of favor, I'll go out on a limb and say the programs have nowhere to go, but up.

I wouldn't pay $480/month to even lease the Touring 2.0T (with an MSRP of about $37 K). Some sales guys are glad to sell/lease a car to a sucker who will pay MSRP for a Honda.

For those of us who are well informed, thanks to forums like this, we are not going to get taken for a ride. As @Michaell mentioned, Honda dealerships are a dime a dozen (in metro areas).

As long as you do your research and are well informed, you will always come out on top and get a good deal.

Good luck with your search. May might be a better month for deals on the Accord.

Lease terms are not favorable, but there are deals to be had if you do your research and are willing to shop around. I can see lease payments being 500 or higher if you dont negotiate, but I was able to get a great deal on my 2.0T a few weeks ago and my lease payment is 430 a month.

It can be done, just need to shop around, and utilize the info in this forum!

I’ve been watching this board for a while hoping the lease numbers would get better. My lease is now up so I have to make a move, and it doesn’t seem to gotten any better. So I need to make a decision, get the accord or try something else (and pay the $350 turn in charge - which is such nonesense). I was just given the following on a EX-L 2.0 NonNav: vehicle price $29,470, $1,344 down, $695 acquisition, $338 doc, etc. fees, and 8% sales tax. Coming to $394/mo for 39 months. Thoughts?

    Ouch
I feel your pain. I’m in the same boat. My lease is up this month and I have been watching and hoping the numbers would be better this month. I was kind of surprised they are not.
Have you considered extending your current lease? I called HFS last night to get info on that. You can extend 1-12 months. It’s a simple process, especially if you extend 6 months or less, there isn’t even any paperwork, just a phone call to HSF.
I might extend until July which is when the current programs end and reevaluate then. I could even extend it again then.

That is exactly what I am doing. I called HFS and you can extend your current lease up to 12 months but only twice. For example you can extend it for 6 months and then again for another 6 or you can do 12 from scratch. Or you can do 3 months and then 3 and so on.  You don’t have to keep your car for 6 or 12 months. As soon as you get good deal on new car you just call them back and tell them that you get new car and they will end your current lease right away :)

Thoughts?

    Ouch

The $394 deal is not terrible but imagine what a little lease cash would do.
Extending lease is an okay idea as long as you are not over miles already.
HFS will lean toward waiving the $350 turn in fee if you stay with HFS.
