I'm going to see about possibly extending my lease by a few months, unless they give me some good incentives to get into a new lease when my lease is up early next year.

That doesn't look like a bad deal, whereabouts in VA? I've been looking around the VA and MD area. Some strange things though, like 2 completely different Honda subsidized deals from the dealers, take a look at these 2 deals below. Can anyone explain why such a big difference?

My lease expires on Aug 2019. My original lease is a 3yr/36k, i am currently at 34k miles. If i continue on my current track i will be at 45k miles by lease turn in.

My question is, should i go ahead and trade now for an 18 accord, or finish my lease? I am looking at paying $1400 in over mileage fees if i keep my current car. Does Honda normally wave mileage fees if you lease another Honda?

My salesman is recommending i go ahead and trade. Are there any other penalties associated with breaking a lease this?

Also i'm in NC, interested in number for a 2018 Accord Sport 2.0.

I am planning to go by the dealer to play with numbers.

So what info do i need for you all to make sure i'm getting a good lease?

Of course your salesman is recommending that you pull the trigger on a new car; he doesn't get paid if you don't.

What I would suggest is this:

1. Get the payoff value of your current car; call Honda Finance for that number
2. Get a trade value, as well; if you have a CarMax nearby, they can give you a good trade value

With that information, you can determine where you are, financially. It's unlikely that you'll have any equity, so really it's about knowing how big the negative equity hole is.

In general, we discourage ending leases early, as it is not financially wise, for the reasons above.

Stay the course and deal with the mileage charges when your current lease is up.

Thanks for the advice, just for kicks i'll go and get all this info. I personally want to finish my current lease. I need the next year to report as good credit. That way i will hopefully qualify for Honda's top tier rates.

Honda does not offer 39 month or 10K.

36/12 - .00092 and 58% (Sport) or 54% (Touring)

Can't help with dealers, but there is a dealer review section to the Edmunds website.
