This figures comes to 34,702. They have a $1000 rebate. The net residual is $23617. It shows $1000 drive off below, but at top of document, it shows at zero cash down, the monthly payment is $362, which includes the tax.

The Mf is .001270.

12k, 3 yr lease.

CA taxes the monthly payment on a lease, so I would question the dealer about what, exactly, has been added to the selling price - tax on the $1000 rebate?

With the MSRP and adjusted cap provided, I get $382/mo - before adding in the sales tax.

I'd confirm the adjusted cap cost used in the dealer payment quote - it looks almost too good, which is why I'm suspicious.

TO get the $34702 figure, they added the following to the cap cost.

$1136.54, sales tax, at 8.75
650 acqusition
582.75 dmv, doc fee. I think the doc fee alone is $55.

Sales tax isn't added to the CAP cost in CA. It's collected on the monthly payment.
The $1136 might be the correct amount for total tax collected, but it isn't collected upfront or added to the CAP cost.

Doc fee is $80 in CA.

Hi, they wrote back and said, “the cap cost is 32333 and the rebate is applied as a down payment.” So, if that is the case, isnt the rebate like cash, or equivalent to it? On their matrix, with $1000 down, the mo payment with tax is $332.36.

I will keep shopping. I got a little concern about the transmission issue reported on the other thread. I was leaning toward the highlander. Cross shopped the pilot but the leasing resulted in oayments $60higher for the pilot lx vs le highlander, both awd.

Maybe waiting toward the end of the month will be bette? Thanks again, i appreciate these forums,
