    Okay.. now it makes sense.
    Using that "out the door" price as the adjusted CAP cost, I get $495.10/mo.
    Your money factor and residual are correct.
    All of those amounts seem correct for MD.

    My point being.. there should be no discrepancy in the monthly payment calculation. To get to $519/mo, they've added about $850 to the price, somewhere.

    Ask for the adjusted CAP cost, and see where it differs from the price you've listed.

    It's not a bad deal (at $495/mo.).
    MD taxes the full selling price, which hurts, but you can't do anything about that.

    Are those rebates applicable to a lease? I am going to finalize tomorrow at the dealer. I am currently at a 39,468 price on the msrp of 42859. quoted 450 per month if that helps (xle with 0003 money factor.

    Which rebates are you referring to?

    I haven't seen any lease incentives on the Highlander.

    this is the deal I'm trying to work out. We agreed on sale price, but getting different final drive off and monthly payments. Haven't responded back after I requested their lease worksheet or to find if they added additional fees to cap cost. Am I calculating incorrectly?

    While that is true, what happens if you pay the tax up front and the car is - tragically - totaled or stolen during the lease?

    Do you think the state will refund you the unused portion of the sales tax you didn't benefit from?

    I'm gonna say no.

    Yes.. by paying the state tax upfront, you've saved an extra 9% tax on that amount

    We do show it expires on 10/10.

    Generally, we never see Toyota dealers markup "special" money factors. I'd at least ask for an explanation for why you aren't getting .00001.

    Direct quote from one of the two -

  • Our current lease on the 2016 Highlander Platinum AWD (MSRP $46,498) a couple of years ago is expiring real soon. We did a 36 / 15K term that gave us a payment of $474.28 with tax. Our tax is low because we live next to Dillon Lake in Summit County, Colorado. We are trying not to put much money down.

    The mf on a gas model was .00180 back then compared to .00235. How are other people on this forum getting a mf of .00001? Is that the Eastern Region?

    Toyota has a number of different regions, each with their own MF.

    In CO, we recommend only the first payment be made at signing; roll all the fees and such into the monthly payment.

    Sweet! Gas engine it is then.

    I'm better now if we lease a (gas) 2018 Highlander AWD Limited Platinum from
    our local dealer that does not charge D&H fees and no other fluff /fees except for a $650 acq fee.

    They have a 2018 Highlander AWD Limited Platinum.

    What payment could we have if we have an MSRP 49,598 and selling price of 44,249 with acq fee included? Assuming only 1st payment and 3.025 tax rate to Dillon Colorado address. Let me know the residual if you can please.
