Hey, I’m pretty new to leasing and I’m looking at this deal and planning to go in to dealership to get all the numbers before making any decision and I I’ve been reading you guys don’t have the numbers for my region (FL) but my question is, what do you guys think are the numbers I should aim for? I don’t plan to put that down payment.

Hi toto6997,
I would EMAIL the dealer, and a few others, asking for their best deal. Let them know they'll be in competition with each other. Resist their request to "come in to discuss the numbers". The first offers are rarely their best. You'll know you're in the ballpark when dealers start dropping out, or the offers are very close to each other. Be respectful of their time (and yours). Know ahead of time that your credit is good. In the best of all possible worlds, you pick a good deal, and the signing takes less than an hour. If you let them know that you know the money factor, residual value and incentives, then they have to compete by lowering the Selling Price. Good luck!

We don't have the lease program information for the SouthEast Toyota region.

The $3209 up front cash equates to about $89/mo, so the "true" monthly payment is closer to $300/mo. That would be your target.

But, it's always best to negotiate the price of the vehicle, rather than the monthly payment.

Ask for the adjusted CAP. If I add the $1094 to the $26129, then I get $284/mo, not $297.
Probably a good reason for it, but the adjusted CAP would tell all. I used $27,223.

Lower payment? You'll need a bigger discount.

For $200, I'd get the GAP

I will add GAP, had an issue with a 2011 Rav4 that was in two accidents; 300 miles and then totaled at 3,000 miles, didn't have GAP and had to pay the difference between insurance payment and balance due out of pocket.

as-is does this seem like a good or just a fair deal?

It really doesn't matter what the dealer says. Do you believe they are giving you a better deal than an employee?
