What is a good purchase price on a Passat SE with Tech. Dealer is offering 27,500. That seems high with the incentives that are being offered. Any input would be appreciated.

There is a $1000 consumer rebate.

Cash - dealer gets $3000
0.0% APR- dealer gets $500
0.9% APR - dealer gets $1000
1.9% APR - dealer gets $1500

So, yes.. the incentives change if you take the low rate financing.

I have my eyes set on the '18 2.0T Passat SE w/ Tech for a lease. I'm slowly understanding money factor but I shook their hands at $350/month w/1965 due at signing, but it was late and I didn't do any paperwork or leave a deposit. MSRP is $30,680, "selling price" is 27,680 before the VW $1k rebate. I feel like they can do wayy better. Could anyone guide me please? I'm the in the Chicagoland area and it's suburbs by the way, 60025

yes.
my local midwest dealers (3) are all advertising 6500-6700 off msrp on most 2018 passats (from S to SE; not GT)

so, 7000 off msrp is something to push for on the higher end trims and is quite reasonable.

State tax should only be about $1000, at most. Unless, there is a local sales tax on top of that. Chicago taxes the payment, so if that were the case, it wouldn't be in that number.

The CAP tax number seems high, with IL tax about 7.2% on the sum of payments. Should be closer to $1000 tax. (unless you have a local sales tax of some kind?)
With a $1600 dealer incentive, $3000 discount doesn't seem all that great.

I think your selling price on a lease is optimistic.. Those advertised prices from VW dealers are low, because they are only good with marked up financing.

Plus, Bill Marine is lucky to have 15 VWs in stock, total...

I didn't sign anything no, and I live in Cook County Chicago suburbs, not in the city where the rate goes up even more. Also this is for a 3yr/36k lease and this dealership doesn't have any addendums that they add to the price.

Here's my math and be honest with me guys, can it be done or am I asking for too much?

30,680+9%(tax, title license, and I'm being generous)

Hey everybody. Looking at an R-Line MSRP 27,740. I'm aware of MF being insanely low so I was hoping I can get a good quote with little to nothing down  maybe $500-800 down payment max. 60173 is my zip code, outer Chicagoland but still Crook County which is 8.25% ? 236 gov't  fees which I believe are license plates, 675 acquisition, $1000 rebate  $275 /month w/ $1850 down payment. Does this sound reasonable? Thank you
