The cap cost (selling price, plus fees and taxes, less cap reduction) would have to be around $46,800 to get that pre-tax payment.

We'd suggest you limit the out of pocket to just the first payment and DMV fees; add the other fees to the selling price. You'll have a higher payment, but much less up front cash out of pocket (about $1100 or so)

That's a good deal imo. I'm having a hard time getting anyone in the PNW to get near that number for a 0 down cap cost.

I noticed in this post quoted above, that the poster asked about the "Hybrid" version, and so I  was wondering if your response indicates that the Hybrid numbers have now been released?  If so, are they actually identical to the non-hybrid program, or was this just an oversight? 

If it IS accurate, is there any difference in the residual, MF, and incencentive, when leasing a Hybrid with the ADVANCE package?  In zip code 33308? 36 months/7,500 miles?

I was at my dealer today- Base MDX AWD MSRP 47175 Sell 43389 3 year 20K miles- .56 residual, 50% $1669.00 up front for Massachusetts 595 aqui fee Doc fee of 435. Lease payments 581.43. I can't really tell what kind of deal this is. Are these the current numbers?

Hard for me to tell with 20K/yr.... but, the calculations look like they are in the ballpark.

I have 2 questions re: MSD's:

1. I remember reading in one of your posts last month that dealers/manufacturers are often reluctant to agree to MSD's; even going as far as to say they are not allowed, when in fact they are, but if presented by the customer as a "deal-breaker", that then they will often suddenly agree. I remember when I used to lease on a regular basis, the dealers were always more than happy to accept MSD's, usually as many as 10 of them, and it would be of great benefit to the customer both in terms of lowering the MF, as well as calculating opportunity cost. My first question is in general, how many MSD's do most companies typically allow now days, and by how much does each MSD lower the MF?

2. Specifically, do you know if Acura (Honda) Finance allows for MSD's, and if so are you aware of the particulars in terms of the maximum # of MSD's allowed and by what increment each one reduces the MF?

Thanks for the earlier number in NJ. I have some questions
1. Are the residual,MF, and Lease incentives same for MDX AWD Tech across all dealerships in NJ or do they differ?
2. When we say lease incentive, what does it actually mean? Let's say MSRP is 51575 and seilling price is 45768, If there is 2600 lease incentive and I put in 2000 down, will my cap cost reduction would be then 2000+2600=4600? Adjusted cap cost = Selling price - cap cost reduction. Is my understanding correct?

2. Acura does not offer an MSD program

We do not track pricing for Acura, so don't know what kind of discounts are available.

That said, you want to negotiate your best price, then deduct any available incentives.

1. The Acura numbers are national, so they will apply to any Acura dealer.
2. I would think that any price offer from the dealer already includes the incentives. But, always good to confirm.

There are two different incentives - one will appear on your paperwork as a cap reduction, the other is a factory to dealer incentive that you won't see, but it's knowledge allows you to negotiate your best price.
