    So i went to the dealership today and received a quote. I had a bit of a challenge extracting this info at my Mazda dealer today.
    I'm in Chicago
    A) Lease 2018 CX-5 GT
    MSRP 31975
    Sell Price: 30771
    Acquisition fee: $595
    Sales tax: 1424.60 (9.5% sales tax)
    Cap Reduction tax; 5.40
    Rebate: 60
    Document fee: 175.94
    MF: 0.00001 (36/10K)
    RV: 57%
    Monthly w/0down: $452 (first month is discounted about 400)

    I feel like i've seen people do better on here, for better equipped models.

    City of Chicago?
    State tax rate is 7.2% (collected upfront)
    Then, the city taxes the payment by an extra 9.5% (collected monthly)

    That's going to put you about 10% higher payment than a comparable deal, elsewhere.

    Rough calculations get me closer to $440/mo, but that's not far off.

    I wouldn't lease, if I had to pay the Chicago lease tax.

    I'm in the market for a 2018 Touring AWD w/ Preferred Package. I'm in Daly City CA, and I'm looking for 0 down, 3yr, 12K/yr. The quote I received is:

    MSRP $29710
    Sale Price $27807
    Total Cap w/ Taxes/DMV Fees $28981.46
    Cash Cap Reduction $591 (What is this?)
    Net Cap $28,390.46

    Rate 0.00051
    Residual 56%, Residual Amount $16,637.60
    Mthly Pymt $349.43, $380 w/ taxes

    Any feedback on this deal? The dealer gave me a $25,710 purchase price before I told them that I'm leasing, then told me that that price was only available if I financed. Quote was "we have to take the car back so we can't discount it the same."

    I have my doubts that I can get this lower especially given the difference between "finance" price vs. "lease" price.

    And, the first payment wouldn't be "waived" - it would be added to the CAP cost and become part of the monthly payment.

    Can I get a MF and RV for the following:

    2018 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD

    and

    2018 Mazda CX-5 Touring AWD

    Both at 36/10k in zipcode 90027

    I just asked for adjusted cap cost, but Don’t I just take the $4173 off the MSRP and add the $595 for acquisition fee? 

    Supposedly first month payment is being paid by Mazda. When they structured the deal they added that onto the cash down, so really the cash down is $1611.

    I’m not sure why the $1311 down though. From these figures, I could get it around $295 with nothing but fees down, correct?

    Where in PA?
    Is the dealer in PA?
    What term/mileage allowance?

    You have to ask the dealer what the $1311 consists of. That's a pretty specific amount, so maybe the acquisition fee is in there? That will also help you know what is in the adjusted CAP.

    Looking at 2018 lease for Mazda CX-5 Sport AND Touring. Both would be 12k/36 and FWD. Location: 93291. Trying to see just how much Mazda wants to really get rid of last 2018s at both trim levels.

    Do you have current MF, RV, incentives (rebates, discounts, etc) on both years and both trims?

    I got a deal at 375 a month 12/36 in Illinois for 18 CX5 Touring with preferred package at the above mentioned MF at just about 500 less than invoice. Dont know if it is good/bad or fair

    I posted the workout sheet . I don’t think the math makes sense to me there . its a lease so probably  diff discounts but don’t know how valuable this is . I am sure he ll come
    down to 350.

    With that adjusted CAP, the payment is correct.

    It's not a great deal. Nothing they've done, except give you a small discount. You need more off the selling price.

    Hello!  Just leased a CX5 Touring with Preferred package.  Beautiful car. Also got $1,000 back as part of the deal to cover last 4 payments of another Mazda lease I turned in.  Don't think it's a great deal but it seems ok.  Details are below.
