    $4925 incentives

The $1500 is "flex cash" and is discretionary funds from the dealer

$6200 off, less the $4925 incentive, is not that big of a discount.

That MSRP isn't right for an AWD + Tech. It should be $43,095. The AWD Tech has $6425 in incentives divided between $1500 flex cash which isn't guaranteed and $4925 in Acura to dealer cash.

I have my AWD Tech at $32k selling price + acquisition feel.

I'm curious which Acura model will yield the best money back incentives at the moment? I have a car with a little negative equity and the lease cash would help with that. I'm between an Accord Touring or just a TLX with some options.

While we wait for the moderators.....The TLX does have much higher lease incentives than the Accord. Which model of TLX are you interested in?

Your best bet is the 2.4 aspec. Higher RV and good incentives. Next would be the awd tech.

My local dealer has this offer on a base model, but only for 7500 miles a year.

    "Lease a 2019 Acura TLX 2.4L 8-Speed DCT for $239/mo. for 36 months
$2,499 due at signing, $0 security deposit"

The Tech package has the highest incentive ($4925)

You might be able to lease the TLX for a similar payment to the Accord - it's more a question of "do you like your engines with or without turbocharging?"

Yes, that was a typo and is the NON tech msrp. I drove the tech with a sticker of the $43k. And yes, I intend to beat them up further. They through almost 8k off at me just getting out of the car!. I really love the quiet of the ES350 I drove. Didnt think the TLX matched up there. What did you think about the road noise in that machine?

    Hi,

Could I get numbers for a 36/10 lease for 89113 on a 2019 Acura TLX 3.5 V-6 9-AT P-AWS with A-SPEC. They gave me some prelim numbers and they provided flex cash of $1500 but no incentives. Can you verify what that would be? MSRP 43795

Don’t worry. I’ve noticed dealers first offers keep the incentives. I had $600 a month offers. I had $500 s month offers with $6k down.

Just stand strong, do your research here and go in prepared. The TLX is a great car  but sedan sales are declining, it’s an aged platform, the new model comes out next year, it’s the end of the year. You have a lot going to get a good deal.

There's the leasing goal that some people try for of having their monthly lease payment at about 1% of the msrp of the vehicle. You are well under that 1% goal since your msrp was c.$45k. Well done!

Thank you Drzoidberg44 and Michaell for confirming what I thought. The dealer tried to tell me that he was giving me the incentives and tried to deflect every time I asked to lower the cost of the car. Just kept throwing out the incentive reduction. With all of the info I learned on here from everyone I kept providing facts and he asked if I was in the car business...ha. I have an appointment to meet with them tomorrow. I know they think with me there I'll be more likely to sign. I'm ready to walk if I don't get the cost of the car down with over $100 off the payment. I hate the fact that they put in $995 of aftermarket nonsense I don't need which drives up the cost!
  • Drzoidberg44Drzoidberg44 Member Posts: 83
I walked out on 2 dealers at least twice each one. It is true they don’t have to pass all the incentive to the customer I wanted it. I had a fair purchase price in mind and subtracted all incentives and that was my target.

What helped me the most though is watching/listening to this older guy with white hair who is a car sales consultant on YouTube. Watching him taught me how to spot sales tells. It’s a lot easier to walk and negotiate when you can read and watch people.

I take saving money very serious. Dealer 1 said they wouldn’t go lower and this was their best offer and every time he said this is the best I can do, he sniffed. It’s a nervous tick and I used it. I watch body language and listen to their pitch that is rehearsed. Once you have a grasp and are in control of the situation it’s easy.

Also, cast a wide net. I searched and communicated with dealers in a 250 mile radius

I am looking at the 2019 TLX 2.4 FWD Aspec. MSRP is $40,395. Stopped in for a test drive a few weeks ago. Today, the salesman sent me a text and said what would be a can't pass deal for you on this car? After talking back and forth some, he came back with a price of $0 down $471 all in, everything included. 36mo/10k miles per year. I told him that's not even close to what I was thinking. He said well, it is taking $6000 off. My zip code is 43560 and the incentives are $4100. I told him, $1900 off doesn't get me interested.

Am I going about this in the right way? There should be quite a bit more room, right?

I like the car a lot, but I have no problem walking, plus I have a lease that doesn't end until February.

Thanks for all of the helpful info in this thread.

For reference some are getting V6 AWD A-Specs for around $430-$445/month and those sticker for around $5K more. If you factor in the $1,500 flex cash that appears to be available, though at the dealer's discretion, they are barely discounting the car at all. I think they need to knock off another $2K to start.

Can I get RV, MF, lease cash and flex cash for 15k/36 lease in 92618

When calculating RV, are destination charges considered part of MSRP?

Thank you for all your help

So, in theory we could be looking at an MSRP of $40,395. They should be able to offer $4100 in incentives, plus a potential $1,500 flex cash, + any discount off of MSRP in addition? So, I should have a good chance at negotiating the adjusted cap cost down close to $32k? Which, would potentially give me a all in monthly payment of $360ish?

    2019 TLX V6 AWD + Tech

    7500 and 10k miles at 36 month

Money factor, residual and incentive/lease cash please

Dealer shows $6200 off plus another $1500

Is any of that hidden dealer incentive? what are these discounts made up of?

    MSRP = $39,195

    36/10
    .00093 and 51%
    $4925 incentives

The $1500 is "flex cash" and is discretionary funds from the dealer

$6200 off, less the $4925 incentive, is not that big of a discount.
How likely is it that Acura extends these numbers into January?

    $4925 lease cash

Flex cash is discretionary, and could be up to $1500

RV is calculated against the bottom line number of the factory window sticker, including destination.

There shouldn't be any "theory" - the sticker price is posted for all to see.

I agree with your logic - $4100 incentives plus up to $1500 flex cash plus dealer discount from MSRP.

The flex cash is discretionary, and limited, so don't assume your deal will include it.

Looking for numbers for both the TLX AWD with tech & AWD with tech & A-Spec in zip 15206

    36/12

Got this initial quote via email on AWD tech -- seems like too high of quote given the sale price. I've asked for breakdown of cap cost and MF and awaiting reply.
