The residuals are low. Even with incentives the payments are too high for a TLX. These cars are not flying off the lots for a reason aside from the crossover/SUV/pickup popularities.

The MSRP is a fixed amount, representing the bottom line number of the factory window sticker - base MSRP, plus options and packages, plus destination charge.

You wouldn't want to negotiate MSRP, even if you could. If the MSRP is lower, so is the residual, meaning depreciation would be higher, along with the payment

Lots of inquiries. Has anybody actually signed a lease?  I’m on the fence, waiting to pull the trigger. Only two days left in the month, and have been unable to find a dealer willing to go below $500 a month on an AWD A-Spec. I just don’t think the car is worth that kind of money. 

I can’t imagine that the deals would be any worse next month. The residuals are already pathetic.

Good luck. I’ve offered $465 for 36/15k and have not had any success. Everyone wants at least $500, which I think is too much for this car. 

I scolled back throgh the 2018 thread, and Acura added $1500 last Presidents Day (through the end of the month). It didn’t include A-Spec, but I’m hoping this year they add something for the A-Spec. The residuals are a good 2% lower across the board this year which is increases the monthly by at least $30.

I was offered $567 with $1500 due (2019 SH-AWD A-Spec 36/15k) last week. Got s follow up email today that the car is still available. 

If they don’t lower the price, it’s going to still be available next month. The one good thing is that there is a ton of inventory. Eventually they’ll have to drop the prices.

I don't think this is true. I believe residual is always based on MSRP, not the negotiated selling price, which is why negotiating the MSRP lower is helpful. Any good online lease calculator will show you that the lease payment can go down significantly when you negotiate a lower selling price. If you match the MSRP to the selling price, the monthly payment goes way up.

Stupid price. I just came out of a fully loaded RWD Genesis G80 lease (MSRP $57K, 36 months, 15K/yr) for $500/month including tax with zero drive off and a free iPad.

I gave Acura my old 2016 Acura TLX base with 5 payments left at $375 per month.. they said the pull in program would pay 3 of those payments and the dealership would pay the other 2..

Adjusted Cap Cost = $29,743.57
Monthly payment = $375
Amount due at signing is written as $638.52 but I really only paid $422 for them to install the remote start system and they used $216 of Acura loyalty points to get to that number of $638
Term = 36 months and mileage allowance is 10k per year

I'd estimate about a $2500 discount from the dealer, in addition to the $4450 incentive.
That seems decent for a $34K MSRP.

Just my 0.02 cents, you did OK but not the best in both previous and current deal. I'm paying $339 for base 2016 V6 MSRP $36240 with all in, Maryland taxes included, 36m/12K per year, $339 was due at signing. Dealership applied 2 remaining payment to your new lease 100%. Sadly, leases become more expensive these days.

You can't really compare a 3 year old deal to a current one, apples to apples.

MF were much lower, and incentives higher, then.

I agree that leases, all across the price spectrum, are getting more expensive.

I have a 2016 VW Jetta lease at $226/mo. Not likely I'll be able to repeat that when my lease is up this summer.

So can you explain to me how to negotiate with an Acura dealer on the price of a lease with all this data? You have provided the MF, the incentives, the residual, etc.. if we know the MSRP is $33,995 and the goal is not to pay a penny down, no fees, nothing, not even the first payment, basically sign and drive... then what is a good monthly payment?

No... compare it to the sales price.

But, with different incentives for buy vs. lease, it's going to be difficult with an Acura.

Acura is not making it easy to lease. The sales people are not aggressive at all at the two dealerships. Accord is easier to lease. The inventory will sit for Acura..lol
