Great question on the acquisition fee.  I will ask the sales rep.  

Also, great point on the down payment.  Guess I'm too used to buying vehicles.  Looks like the difference in 'interest' only equates to a few hundred bucks over the course of the 3 years.

Sales rep confirmed that the $595 acquisition fee is factored into the negotiated sale price of $44,175.  Does that help?

If you review the worksheet, with $2K down the payment is $556/mo, which agrees with what I said.

+1% to residual for Touring.

There are some accessories that will partially residualize, if they are permanently installed (running boards, etc).

I’m guessing upgraded Honda rims are not acccessories that will partially residualize.  The model I’m looking at has about 6k in accessories and from past experience, I usually stay away from trying to lease those.  All I really want are the rims.

Ideally, we'd recommend that you add the taxes and fees to the selling price, and make them part of the monthly payment.

If the car is stolen or totaled during the lease, do you think the state of VA will refund you the taxes that you pre-paid?

Since VA taxes the full selling price, it doesn’t matter how they allocate your upfront money, since it will have no effect on the tax amount. (If that’s what you are asking)

They were originally quoting almost 2k for the hitch. From what I understand, there are a lot of pieces that go into installing the hitch on the pilot. I'm used to spending about 300 bucks for a hitch so it was a shock to me as well. Is it better for me to just pay for the hitch up front?
