    Thanks for all of y'alls help. I just finalized a deal on a 2019 Velar R-Dynamic P380 HSE. MSRP $84671, Negotiated price $77051, $1175 in lease cash, $1210 in fees, 12k miles @ 36 months with .00051MF and 54% RV, 9.45% sales tax in 70122, payment 883.51 per month with 5883.51 due at signing. Went with more down to keep it under 900. Overall I am very happy with the deal. Thoughts?

    Can you hold on to your existing car for a while, to cut down or eliminate the negative equity?

    That alone is adding almost $160/mo to any lease payment.

    And, the tax burden in TX hurts any lease deal.

    Translation: I'm taking back your big discount and tax credits, by marking up the money factor.

    If you were buying the car, it would be the equivalent of marking up an offered 0.9% APR to 3.3% APR. It is a huge markup, and adds $90/mo.+ to your payment.
