Thanks again, Michaell -- I would agree ... disappointing that the RV would only go up by 1% ... sounds like the money factor only depends on the trim and term of the lease. Is that correct?

Yes, for the most part that is correct. The adjustments for the different mileage terms are all the same, regardless.

Michaell, We have visited several Land Rover dealerships in Chicago and they all say that they do not use the base MF on the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. They even gave the same or similarly inflated MFs.

After leasing several times, I am convinced that most of what these people are saying is BS. They say things just to get the deal done at their price.

However, in this case, multiple dealerships are telling me the same thing. Could it be that the dealerships around here don't use the base MF? Is it possible that the demand is high and they will sell them at whatever rate they choose?

Frankly, I'd recommend you shop a different brand.

Could be that most dealerships in the Chicagoland area are just exceedingly greedy.

Have you shopped Milwaukee or St. Louis?

Yeah I hear ya on the brand. I have not thought about near by cities/other dealerships but that is a great idea! I will give that a shot.

Update on my SVR.
After some back and forth on a lease, the dealer was unwilling to budge on their quoted MF of .00297. At that point I decided it'd be better to just finance the vehicle at a lower APR equivalent. I was able to get a loan at 4.94%. I still intend to sell or trade in the vehicle after 36 months and I understand I'm taking a bit of a risk by assuming the vehicle will be worth what's owed on it at that point but I'll actually have a lower principal due by that time than the quoted residual value at the end of the lease term. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the car holds it's value.
Thanks again Michaell for you're help. I'm bummed I wasn't able to work out a lease deal but I'm looking forward to enjoying my new car!
