Just saw Costco is really helping the price of these with a significant incentive. Other than the Costco Incentive, are their other incentives for leasing this car? What are the September money factors and residuals for 36/12 in 22204?
Kindly let us know what are the GLS450 Numbers for September once they become available MF, residual and incentives. 10/36 12/36 Also if you can kindly let me know what would be the MF after 10 MSD. Thank you

There is currently a Factory to Dealer incentive of $5,000 for the 2019 450 GLS. Costco is announcing a $5,000 incentive exclusive to members. Are these the same or should I assume that I can negotiate a $10,000 reduction based on both?

I tried but Dealer said it was either the $5,500 Costco incentive or the MB incentive of $5,000. You can't double dip.

With those prices, I'm just a penny off that quote amount.
If you're satisfied with the discount from sticker, I don't see anything wrong with that quote.

I tried with MB of Akron,Ohio They offered for $66,270 with out any negotiation. I asked for $60K and Costco rebate of $5500. He is not okay for $60k and didnt say any thing on Costco. You can check with them. With some negotiation and MSDs, you may be getting in 700s and $1500 costco card
Can you help with residual value and MF? Also, how many msd's can I put in and how will that decrease the MF?
Regarding incentives, are there general ones (not requiring any membership) and membership related ones? I was asked about USAA/Penfed, United Premier membership and employment. Not sure how much the discount is and whether they are stackable. Is Costco similar to these memberships? Would appreciate any guidance.

36/12 .00119 and 52% $5000 incentive

Thank you! Will 10/36 be any different?
For the $5000 incentive, is that specifically for lease or is it regardless of lease or purchase? I am not quite familiar. I was also asked by dealers about USAA/Penfed, United Premier membership and employment. Are these additional "incentives" that are only for members? What about costco? Is that similar to these member only incentives?

In order to give you an opinion let me ask you: Does the monthly payment include sales tax? If so, what is the rate? How much of the due at signing is capital cost reduction (downpayment)? Are you paying any Multiple Security Deposits? What is the MF and residual? Thanks
Hi Thanks for the reply. I’ll try to answer what I know. I realize that there’s some holes for variables. - No all taxes (8.875%) are upfront, none in the monthly. - I don’t believe any of the Due at signing is attributed to cap cost reduction. - In NY: So unfortunately No MSD’s allowed. - MF I believe should be MB Corp standard of .00119 and I believe it’s a 53% residual for 10k miles at 39 months? Thanks for the help.

What is the selling price? What is the breakdown of the $5967?
And, that's an awful lot of money to rely on "supposedly". I'd ask for a copy of the lease worksheet.

Ok so I got the Invoice and clarification on selling price. It’s at Invoice $79,450 - $5,500 Costco promo = $73,950 Selling price. (Not allowed to stack the Factory to Dealer $5,000, so the Costco is worth $500 more).
The rest of the deal the same: MF: 0.00119 Residual: 53%

I don't see where the Costco $5,500 is or the Factory to Dealer $5,000. the worksheet didn't have a "Selling price" figure listed.
Or do you think October will yield better deals? (Will the residual get worse or the MF get better?)
How does this look? Thanks so much for the help.
53% is the 36/10 residual. Appears that the 39/10 residual is 51%, as your purchase option number is 51% of MSRP + $150 fee.
To get to your monthly price, $72240 adjusted CAP, which infers a selling price of about $73,050 (after adding in your CAP reduction).
This vehicle comes with a dealer incentive of $5000. From what I can see, the Costco incentive just takes that amount and adds $500. But, the incentive is all Mercedes-to-dealer, so you don't see it in your deal, it just results in lower selling price.
In this case, about $9000 off MSRP, which is just $3500 more than the incentive. That isn't a very big discount on an $84K vehicle. About 4%. On the plus side, every other number looks good, with no padding.
I don't follow pricing, but it seems they would have more room to move down.
Ok so I got the Invoice and clarification on selling price. It’s at Invoice $79,450 - $5,500 Costco promo = $73,950 Selling price. (Not allowed to stack the Factory to Dealer $5,000, so the Costco is worth $500 more).

LOL... I was responding to your earlier post, and just saw this one..
The residual amount doesn't match the percentage given. (as I noted in my other post) Which is why my "calculated" selling price is lower than their price.
Hi kyfdx Thanks for the analysis and the correction on the MF to 51% for 39/10. I'm trying to learn and follow the math but its not matching up for me. Let me type it out and see if I'm understanding this correctly. MSRP: $84,110 MB Fty to Dealer: -$5,000 Costco: -$500 Adjusted starting point: $78,610 (happens to be 6.5% off MSRP) Inferred selling price: $73,050 (is 13.1%/$11,060 off MSRP or only 7.07%/$5,560 off Adj Starting point) Cap cost reduction -$806.14 Cap Cost: $72,240 39/10, MF.00119/2.86% yields $889.44 monthly payments.
I can't seem to match up my math to the comment: "In this case, about $9000 off MSRP, which is just $3500 more than the incentive. That isn't a very big discount on an $84K vehicle. About 4%."
(Appreciative of the info, not trying to butt heads, I'm just lost on how to match up the math) What am I missing? Thanks!

I think you should invert the way you are managing your discounts. Negotiate your best price, then subtract the incentives.
The delta between the "adjusted starting point" and "inferred selling price" is $5560 - that is 6.6% below the factory sticker price of $84,110.
So, better than what we thought. Could it be less? That's what you need to haggle with the dealer about.
With the prices above, and the .00119 and 53% lease figures, I get $848/mo, before tax
Ask the dealer to share their lease worksheet with you - that should address most, if not all, of the questions.

You are correct.. it's $11K total off, not $9K. That makes the effective dealer discount approx $5500, not $3500.
I don't think you can match up exactly with their numbers, because they started out with a 36 month term (53% residual), and switched to 39 months. Their selling price shows $73950 in your later post, not the $73050 that I calculated.
Either way, it's a better deal than I first showed..

How does this look now?
Thank you.

The residual amount doesn't match the percentage given. (as I noted in my other post)
Which is why my "calculated" selling price is lower than their price.

Thanks for the analysis and the correction on the MF to 51% for 39/10.
I'm trying to learn and follow the math but its not matching up for me. Let me type it out and see if I'm understanding this correctly.
MSRP: $84,110
MB Fty to Dealer: -$5,000
Costco: -$500
Adjusted starting point: $78,610 (happens to be 6.5% off MSRP)
Inferred selling price: $73,050 (is 13.1%/$11,060 off MSRP or only 7.07%/$5,560 off Adj Starting point)
Cap cost reduction -$806.14
Cap Cost: $72,240
39/10, MF.00119/2.86% yields $889.44 monthly payments.
I can't seem to match up my math to the comment:
"In this case, about $9000 off MSRP, which is just $3500 more than the incentive.
That isn't a very big discount on an $84K vehicle. About 4%."
(Appreciative of the info, not trying to butt heads, I'm just lost on how to match up the math)
What am I missing? Thanks!
