Well no good deal today Kyfdx, but thanks for the info and numbers. Here's how the day went. Went to the Jeep Dealership, large midwest CJD dealership with 50+ Wranglers on the lot. They advertise they were having a week long sale with great low no haggle prices. Really nice salesman, we got along well, test drove the jeep again and loved it. The advertised sale price was great and I called before I drove to the dealership to make sure the advertised price was still good to go for a lease which they said yes. Everything was going well, I did not try to haggle or get the price lower as it was a good price. Then it came time to run credit and get lease offers. The salesman said his manager was running a couple other deals and it would be a minute. Finally after sitting at his desk for an hour he brings me his Finance managers lease offer. All looked good but the money factor, they wanted a .0028 or 6.7%APR with Chrysler Financial. With a tier one credit score of 793, no bad credit, other auto leases in the past and what I have read that current lease rates are in the fours I was expecting it to be lower. Maybe not the current rate of 4.4 but no more the 5. I said no way. I asked if they had run my credit and he said no, not yet they wanted to make sure I was good with this money factor before running credit because this was the best they could do on this car for the price. I thanked the salesman for his time and told him that MF was no good and walked out. On my drive home the finance manager called me and asked why I left. I told him I loved the sale price but the money factor/APR was not good for what I believed my credit score should get. He then says we can rework the deal if I do not like the MF, I said OK (without turning around and still driving home) he says if he adds $2500 to the the price of the car he can take that $2500 and buy points from Chrysler Financial to get a MF of .00205 or 4.9%APR. $2500 just happens to be what they had discounted the jeep for the week long sale. I politely said no and I would just keep shopping at which he got irritated and said he sells more Jeeps than anybody else in the area and had the best prices. I told him to give me a call if anything changes. I don't think he will, he sounded pissed when I shot down his counter. This was my first experience with so called no haggle pricing and probably last. That's great you have a good low no haggle price but means nothing if you jack up the rate. My other leases were the standard, know what car you want, get competing offers from three separate dealers, haggle a little bit but be fair and go with the lowest. Always got a good deal and a good MF. All today did was waist 3hrs of mine and the poor salesman time. I will just keep on shopping.

I would guess that rather than needing $2500 to "buy down" the rate, they were getting an extra $2500 for marking up the rate.

That's the issue with negotiating price, before nailing down the lease variables.

Thanks for the report. I'll guess that .00205 MF is the correct base rate, this month.

Yes your probably right, the $2500 was probably being paid to them for that rate.

Question, which 2DR has the best RV for 36/10, 42/10 Zip 46055.

I have decided to also expand my search into 4DR's now as reading through the forum the RV's are so much higher. Which 4DR has the best RV 36/10 and 42/10 for 46055. Looking at a Sport S but may look at the Altitude, Willys or Sahara if a better deal on the RV.

    Thank you,

Hi all. I’m currently working on leasing an Unlimited Sahara 2020 with a few options—leather, cold weather, and safety packages. Price seems to range between $48k and $51k depending on the other stuff they put in these suckers in the factory. Anyhow, I’m talking to 3 dealers and getting quoted 3 different money factors ranging from .00212 (which equates to like 5.3% i think) to 7.85 to 8.35. Anyone have any idea what’s going on here or what the standard or best rate is that i can get from jeep this month with top tier credit?

Looking for residual and mf on a 12k/36 mos Rubicon Unlimited. Zip is 01760 (or 02115 - Boston). Also, does anyone know if the mf changes based on the length of the lease? I've been given two slightly different mfs from the same dealer for 36 and 39 mos leases.

I don’t know the exact number for this month but last month the residuals for the Sahara were over 70% but that was offset by a high interest rate.

For what its worth, I have been working with a dealership who is extremely transparent with rates. Im am trying to buy a 2020 Willys Unlimited which uses the Sport as the RV/MF

    2020 Unlimited Sport/Willys
    Chrysler Capital - 36/12 - RV 73% and MF .00188
US Bank - 36/12 - They use an MRM instead of MSRP which is 36,900 and 69% and MF of .00170
Ally - 36/12 - They do not use a money factor its a straight 8% but 80% RV.

    2020 Unlimited Sport-S
    Chrysler Capital - 36/12 - RV 70% and MF .00188
    US Bank - MRM - 42,500 and MF .00170
    Ally - Didn't get numbers on Sport-S

AS you can see if you go with a sport its better to go with Chrysler Capital, if going a sport-S use USbank as you can find a sport-S with a smaller MSRP of 42,500 and get more money off the payment.

These are all February numbers as of yesterday

Hello I would like to get your opinion on this deal. First stop no haggling just starting the process and want to see where to go from here.
2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport V6.
    Zip 21093
    36/12
MSRP 44410 Net Price 40582 (USAA member 1% below invoice- Can I do better?)
    processing fee 299
    tax 2452.86
non tax fees 331 (Title/Lic. and Registration)
    Net Price 43,664.86
    MF quoted was .00188
    70% residual
Est Lease payment 490 with the first payment down
    1000 down est payment 461
    and 2000 down 431
Im coming out of a 2018 wrangler sport lease (24mo.) 18k miles so not sure what to look out for. Should I get a car max appraisal to see if I have positive equity? Seems like they are just taking it back for the residual.
    Thanks for your feedback!

I would definitely check with CarMax. But, given the high residuals on Wrangler leases, seems doubtful you'll realize any equity. Can't hurt to try.

I get the same payment with just first payment upfront.
I don't track pricing, so can't tell you if you can do better.

That seems like a reasonable deal. $65/mo for tax (because MD), but you can't do anything about that.

Have you thought about a longer term?

Thank you for your response. What is the advantage of longer term? I thought 36 months was the sweet spot. I suspect the obvious a lower payment but then was thinking things like the money factor would change. If not it is something to consider. Let me know. Thanks again, this site always makes me feel confident when entering the buying/leasing process. Keep up the good work!

Hi Can I get the MF and Residual for 2 Wranglers

    42/12 and 36/12

4 Door 2020 Wrangler Sahara Manual
4 Door 2020 Wrangler Rubicon Manual

    US, ALLY, and Chrysler

We only have the Chrysler numbers

    Standard MF
    RUB - 64% / 61% for 36/42 and 12K
    SAH - 65% / 62%

Deduct 2% for the stick shift.

The Wrangler has decent long term residuals, so the payment may be more advantageous for 42 or 48 months.

Thank you. So unfortunate that nobody wants a manual any longer

I have the following on a 20 Unlimited Sport S in SE PA zip 19335. V6 with hard top are must haves but I'm waffling on the 6 vs the turbo cause FCA is giving more on the turbos I hear.

Sorry I may not have the exact numbers. I drove the car at one place and am getting other dealer quotes. FWIW this will be a fun 3rd retired car for 3 years then give back and walk away so at this point monthly payment and out of pocket are my only concern - am I wrong for feeling that way? Thanks.

    MSRP = $41740
    Total Cap Cost $37,219.40
    Residual $29,635.40
    Rate 0.00188000
    Payment = $333 ($366 w PA tax at 9%)
    36 months
    30k miles
    $3500 total out upfront.
    $650 disposition

I went in wanting $350 incl tax and would sign today if any place did it. I'm feeling like my next step is to draw a line in the sand at $350 committing to buy right now. Or wait till eom and try.

One dealer told me 39 month lease runs better than 36 but their numbers don't get to the 36 deal above.

    Thanks!

I just noticed this post and I am confused. PA sales tax is 6%.
Is there a different sales tax for auto leases or possibly just a typo by the op/poster?
Running numbers on the lease calculator and it is a decent difference.

PA has a 3% sales tax surcharge, for leases.

    9% is the correct rate.

    Ouch! But Thanks Michaell!!
Also, I noticed RV's have gone down a bit on the Willys Unlimited for the new year. But it seems maybe they changed again for February? I noticed a 71% and then a 73% for 36/10
So what are the new numbers for Willys Unlimited,...36/39/42 all 10k?

Also,....not sure if you know the answer or if it varies state to state,....but I assume if I order a Jeep the numbers on the lease will be the numbers at time of delivery, not ordering, correct? (Again they seem to be changing and I would just like to be sure)

    71% / 69% / 68%

Not sure how Chrysler manages lease programs for custom orders.
