    I have a question:

    I was negotiating a lease for my Fiancee over the weekend (Sahara Altitude Unlimited, 12k miles, 36 months, 33411 zip code) and the dealership came back with a quote that was a bit higher than I calculated at home (I assumed the standard residual for a Sahara in my zip code (68%)).

    I asked the dealership to see the money factor and residual. At first they didn't want to show me but after threatening to walk, they reluctantly did.

    They were calculating the lease for the car off of a 63% residual (when the residual is supposed to be 68%). Are dealerships allowed to change the residual? Was it an honest mistake or is this dealership up to some really shady stuff?

    It is likely they are using a different bank than Chrysler Capital.
