Hi, In NJ looking at Base 2016 MDX MSRP 45,785 Selling price 42,999. What is the MF for 39 month and 12K/Yr? Getting $550/M incl 7% tax and only $400 out of pocket. Thanks

I'm getting $396.51/mo with your numbers, so pretty close to your quote from the dealer.

What will be the best deal for 2016 Acura MDX Tech Package in LA? Can some one please explain how MF and Residual works and how to calculate monthly payment using those factors. I am looking to lease for 36 months 12k miles per year. Thanks for all the help.

FWD?

.00170 and 62% for 36/12.

Lots of lease calculators on the web.

Residual is the percentage of MSRP that the bank thinks the car will be worth at the end of the lease.

MF is the money factor, which is used to calculate the 'rent charge' (interest) you pay for borrowing the money for the lease.

We would need to know the MSRP and cap cost in order to model a payment

Seems like MF has been coming down recently on the new MDX. 2016 AWD w/Tech 36/10K in CA. Is that .00101 now? Does the MF change with the AWD Advance? I know residual will.

Looks like their are two different money factors for 2016 MDX models (shewwww).

.00101 is for models with AcuraWatch.

.00141 for models without AcuraWatch.

Residual was 63%. MF they claimed was .00131 from Acura. No markup. I never believe the dealer so wanted to check here.

MSRP is $50,210. Cap Cost $47600.
Cap cost is invoice price + $350 Advertising fee. $680 Inception Fee. plus standard stuff. Wouldn't remove the inception fee so I walked away.

Any truth to the MF rate?

.00141 is the base MF, but .00131 is used on the "ZERO due at signing lease".

Not sure what the $680 inception fee is for. There is a $595 acquisition fee on every Acura lease, that goes to the bank.

I'm getting $496+tax - I suspect the dealer is adding in a fee or two to the selling price that accounts for the difference. Ask them to provide the cap cost and how they got to that number from your selling price.

How's this deal? I thought I got low monthly payment but got killed in 68% residual.

Not sure I agree with the residual ... I'm showing 61% for 39/10 on the AWD Tech.

Still, $490/mo for a $50K car is a pretty good lease payment.

Thx Michaell. Dealer used some Credit Union instead of Honda Finance to lower the payment. So looks like I need to make sure that I don't end up buying this at the end of the lease. What do you recommend?

Yes, I signed the lease. But there is a possibility that I may not put enough miles on it at the end of the lease. So I was wondering should I even think of buying it at the end of the lease or do a lease transfer when I couldn't put enough miles on the car. Thx

You've got a little over 3 years to make that decision.

If you keep the miles low, it's possible that the value of the car will be higher than the stated residual. Instead of turning it in and losing that equity, you could trade it in and get the equity back as a check.

I haven't seen an MSD program from Acura. If they have a one-pay lease, I'm not familiar with it.
