    Hi Brian,
I am planning to buy a 2015 Honda Accord Sport model. I saw the invoice price in US New Ranking as $22572 for a car with MSRP 24,665. The MSRP is closer to what dealers around my area are showing.

However when I went to Nada guides it shows invoice price as $22572 + $820 as the destination charge which brings it to $23,391. Can you please let me know what we can consider as the invoice price?

Pricing is correct invoice price plus the destination fee which all of us ( the buyers have to pay.) When negotiating pricing with dealers include the dest/ charge in your numbers so you are both on the same page with agreed sales price 1st. Then have dealer give you the OTD numbers which include tax, dmv fee's and doc fee charge.

Thank you very much for your response Brian. The initial quote I got on Honda Accord Sport Model is $22,246. The OTD price is $23884.66 in Pennsylvania. Can you let me know what would be a good price to ask for?

Also, you mentioned about Honda incentive to Dealers for $1k will be gone after May 11th. Do you know if they have any new incentives like this after May 11th?

Check Edmunds and Nada.com for new incentives/ rebates . as far as I know Honda has not put any new incentives out . special finance remains till Jan, 2016.

1000 to 1500 below dealers invoice price is a good targeted price range in PA. You may or may not do better. only you will know that answer by getting as many dealerships involved in the price wars as far as your willing to travel to.

Good luck.............. post your deal in this forum when completed.

Just finished my test drive of a '15 Accord Touring. Pretty nice driving car! I did inquire via costco membership so I received a written "costco members" pricing sheet. This was in Fife, WA.
    selling price $35,417.00
(includes dealer prep - $249.00 decor $249.00, and NW package $469.00. NW package is front and back all weather floor mats and trunk mat.)
    Invoice price $31,693.96
    costco discount $1700.00
    ---------------------------------
    total $29993.96

Not ready to buy yet, as I have 14 other dealers in a two hour driving radius.
I suppose I could knock off another $1k telling them I'm not interested in the floor mats and not going to pay for dealer prep and whatever "decor" is. Those are just pure profit for dealers as far as I'm concerned.

    Hi Brian,
I received this quote for a 2015 Accord EX in MD:

    22,150.00 (includes destination/freight)
The total price would be 24,069.94 (including taxes/tags/fees) - did not break these down.

    is this a decent price?

Hi again.  In RI but dealing with MA dealers.  Have two deakers in MA offering me deals  for 2015 accord exl.   BOCH is at 24100 and Colonial is at 24086.   Both include destination.  Other fees $ 349 FOR doc  170 reg plus title.   And taxes.  Should I make one of these deals.

COLONIAL also said they would add remote starter for 399

Based on my exhaustive search in CA., those are both very good quotes. Just make sure that you get it in writing before going in. Bait ans switch, claiming a mistake or the car having equipment you don't need and adding to the price of the car are common tactics. Car dealerships are dogs. elvis

Forgot to say this was the Non-Navi model (in case that makes it become a normal non-unbelievable deal).  Yes, I figured the accessories were kind of a scam here but I wanted them so was ok with it.

This is in OC, at Norm Reeves Huntington Beach.  It was the last one left on the lot, although they had a bunch of Navi ones

Invoice w/ dest charge on the exl model = $25,997.

Your posting will help other CA buyers. Many buyers will not come close to this price. But if I know you got x price............ I dam well will try for the same type of deal with my targeted dealerships in that area.

    Enjoy good luck pal

    Hi all,

In NJ this weekend I got the following on a 2015 Accord EX-L V6, Non-Navi:

    $25.961 price incl. destination
    $1,834.77 taxes/gov't fees
    $299 registration/title
$449 doc fees (NJ sucks for these)

    $28,543.77 total OTD

I think this is decent for NJ but would like some feedback, and of course to help out other prospective buyers.
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244

Left a 500 US Deposit for an Accord EX CVT today in NJ w/0.9%.
$22,940: price w/dest. and protection package (Splash Guards, Trunk Tray and Wheel Locks)
Added all weather mats for 153.

    7% tax
    $311: license
    $25,437.11 total

The transaction will be completed tomorrow as they were all booked due to the Memorial day weekend. Is this a good deal? I believe still have time to opt out.

Went with the 2015 Accord EX in MD, and traded in an old 2002 Accord. They split the trade in by reducing the overall price by a $1000 (to eliminate the tax) and taking the remainder as the trade in value.

    21150 - price includes a $1000 "trade in bonus"
    299 doc fee
    1268.94 - tax
274 - tag and title and misc fees
    -300 trade in
    total: 22991.94

Does that mean i would be 1400 below invoice? BTW, i thought invoice on this car was 28145

Doc fee is all dealer profit. If I know dealer has a high doc fee I always lower my offer to counter that charge. In states like NY and CA. doc's are 75/80 dollars no big deal compared to some other states @ 399 to 799

Accord coupes are limited so pricing in some states are not as good as the sedans. . Supply and demand plays a roll.

Hi Brian, I am a newbie and going to buy a 2015 Accord Sport CVT in NJ. I saw in this post there were several deals 2000+ below invoice, but so far the best offer I got is just 880 below invoice(after minus dealer doc fee). Since now is the end of May, should I wait for end of June, please advise. Thanks in advance.
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
Try this weekend for a few more dollars off invoice . If it does not pan out and time is on your side next month could be easier w/ a lower sale price. July 4th into that month should be some good deals on Accords more trunk money for the dealers. Summer clearance sales

NY/ NJ pricing is not as good as other area's. Getting 1500 below invoice minus doc fees is a real good deal. Most deals in NJ are 1100 or 1200 below invoice minus doc's. You will need to work getting more dealerships involved at the end of this month for better pricing. .

My guess - and it's only a guess - is that the June incentives will not expire until after the July 4th weekend, or Monday July 6th.

About 1000 below your models invoice price is a good deal in AZ. That's after taking in consideration of dealers doc fee charge. . Deals are not as good in AZ. as your seeing in other states.........Good LUCK

I got a 2015 Accord Sport CVT, no accessories yesterday for OTD $23,719.14 at Route 23 Honda in NJ. Selling price+ destination + dealer fee=21891.That's exactly 1500 below invoice. In and out for about 2 hours. Only unexpected thing was that I could only make down pay by credit card for $2500, the rest had to be cash or check. Thank everyone for the help, especially Brian.

I pulled the trigger on a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L CVT during memorial day weekend. The deal is as below:

    MSRP $29,240.00
    $25,765.96 (Includes destination fee)
    Doc Fee $399.00
    Registration $239.50
    NJ Tire Tax $7.50
    Sales Tax $468.36
    OTD $26,880.32

I'm in North NJ, seems like a fair deal, even though I see other folks in different states got 1k less on my car. Forgot to add, I have the trunk tray, splash guards, wheel locks and 1 year of free oil changes in this deal.
