36/15 on the 3-series is 60% this month. Except the 330e - that is 59%.

.00138 is the base rate this month; cannot negotiate it lower, can only use MSD to buy it down.

Thank you for the response. I have a follow-up question re MF. With my current lease, my MF is 0.00127 (36/10 in So Cal). This seems lower than the base rate (although maybe .00127 was the base rate in 2013). Or maybe it's because I worked through the fleet department via USAA car buying service?

So, what is the MF after the MSDs?

Each MSD lowers the MF by .00007, so starting with the base rate of .00138, the net MF should be .00089.

With your prices, and assuming a 7% tax rate, I get $508.36/mo.

However, if the dealer is marking up the MF, then the MSDs simply bring it back to the base level.

I forgot to mention this is a Euro Delivery. Dealer says MF is .00168 and after the MSD ends up as .00119. Then they add .00015 to it. Ending MF is 0.00134.

Does that seem legit?

Yes, there is a bump on the MF for ED of .00030, so the only thing to push back on is the .00015 dealer "bump" - that's profit for the dealer.

(32,485+22,016) * 0.00138 = 75.21

LEASE PAYMENT:

Depreciation + Finance Charge = Lease Payment

290.80+75.21=366

WITH TAX

366+6%= $387.97

I was using the selling price as the cap cost, which was incorrect.

Looks like I just missed the $1000 owner loyalty credit through BMWFS (ended May 02). Now there are no incentives of any kind? On my last lease I had a total of $1500 in incentives/customer cash. Between this, the MF bump and the acquisition fee bump, it's a lot more expensive to lease a BMW than it was in 2013!

Any insight as to whether we can expect incentives to come around as the new MY approaches?

Do you guys ever get information about the MF for CPO leases?

I was offered two separate 328GTs in late April, one new and one "Elite CPO". Both had a MF of 0.00175. If I recall correctly, that was a 0.0004 markup from base at the time.

But just because new and CPO MFs were the same in April doesn't mean that this is still the case now, I presume?

I'm looking at the same Elite CPO 328GT and want to minimize dealer MF markup. But I also don't want to make a fool of myself by insisting on the new MF if the base CPO MF is actually higher! What do you think?

Also, in your experience, are the MF and residual usually the same for new 328xi sedan, wagon and GT?

MBenz treats those cars as new cars for leasing purposes (as long as they're below a certain mileage), so I guessed it might be the same with BMW.

The first lease experience,

When I finance or cash for new vehicle, I do my research and find out in Truecar estimate. then ask to dealer for Truecar estimate. I make a deal if the dealer agree the truecar estimate.

In case of lease,
can I ask to dealer my turecar estimate (my target price of finance or cash) for the selling price of lease? or the selling price of lease should be different than the price of finance or cash deal?

It was my first time to lease BMW. After reading through this forum, I started to wonder how I ended paying so much on my new 2016 BMW 3 series xDrive. Here is what I got. Final negotiated price: 41500 (excluding Acquisition fee, dealer processing fee, title, tag and registration fee) MSRP 50280 36 month 12K miles No downpayment MSDx5 + 1st month = $3881 paid at signing. I'm paying $631 monthly. I started to realize that this price is ridiculous. What went wrong? Addition, when I asked what the MF was, sales guy said it was 0.0024 which I didn't know what that means at that time.
