msrp 86,040 So far I have negotiated the price to 83,000, Do you think I can do better? Can you please give me the money factor and residual value for 10/12k miles a year. I am looking for a 36 month lease unless MB has similar term special going. I have never leased a MB, what are destination and handling charges? Thanks for all of the help.

Standard MF and 59% residual for 36/12.

Destination and handling are just part of the price. No dealer should be breaking them out, separately.

Acquisition fee on MBFS leases is $795, which dealers often markup to $1095 for extra profit.

Is the standard MF (.00200-.00220) or the .00084 that I see for the 2016 GL450. And the residual for 36/10 would be 61%? Once again thanks for taking the time to help.

Standard MF is .00200-.00220. 60% residual for 36/10.

MB numbers expire today, 5/2/16.

2017 GLS450 36/15 - standard MF and 57%. Add 2% for 12K and 3% for 10K

2016 GL450 36/15 - 55% and .00084. Same mileage adjustments.

Michaell, MB web site now showing a May special lease deal for the GLS. Looks like a 36/10 with RV=60% and MF somewhere around .0016? Can you please confirm this? Thanks.

If you are covering all the taxes and fees up front, then the $77K MSRP and $73K selling price result in a payment of $924/mo. With the $1200 cap reduction, the payment drops to $891/mo.

Pretty close to your quote of $881/mo.

A mistake?

Hardly - they marked up the MF for extra profit.

$795 is the base bank fee - cannot get it any lower than that.

Using your prices, the marked up MF is costing you $127/mo (!!!)

What lease term and how many miles per year.

Dealer is free to mark up the MF.

You are free to find a dealer who won't do that. Their profit - or lack thereof - isn't your concern.

By the way, all the Herb Chambers dealers are colluding. They all quote low selling prices but marked up money factors. The others are more reasonable.

They have to use that residual, but can mark up the money factor.
If a dealer had said that to me, I'd just move on to another dealer.

And, it's not collusion if they are all Herb Chambers dealerships. Collusion only happens when competitors get together to fix prices.

Thanks. Point taken. It's just that there are about 5-6 dealers around Boston, and three of them are Herb Chambers companies. The others aren't. All the Chambers ones say they can't do better (they mean they won't do better).

Have you considered an MB dealer in RI or CT? Not that far of a drive, and it only takes one dealer to meet your numbers.
