I also found a dealer's add for a 2.0T Premium w/Nav that has an MSRP of $45,435 and a residual of $26,806.65 on a 36/10 lease. That's a residual of 59%. This doesn't look right either. Dealers can't set their own residuals, right?

That is correct ... the residual is set by the bank and cannot be modified by the dealer.
Leased a 16 SQ5 today. Msrp was $63150 gross cap cost $56203, adjusted cap $55587 after 1750 rebates.Drive off was $2000. Lease term is 36 month 12k a yr and audi care. Final payment $ 675 with tax in California. Used the base money factor and from what I was told was a credit score of 700 will get the base factor. This is my wifes car and her credit score was 714. Also I just leased a 16 S3 in February from the same salesman. Super nice suv and really fast and my wife is happy!!!

I have a friend being quoted .0089 and 51% on a Q5 2.0T Premium Plus with Audi Care. $48,625 MSRP, $4282 discount, the $1750 in rebates and they got to $629 for 36/12 $0 out of pocket. They are paying off her last 2 months of a Lexus lease, I don't know exactly what that was but I think $900+- so payment is still too high
On my advise she has already gone back and they are now at $550 with $650 at signing including 1st months lease payment. So by my calculation they are adding $550+- in dealer fees, the $900+- to Lexus and it seems they have adjusted MF to .0003, but that is still a residual of 51%.
This is Orlando Florida, I see posts where residual on 36/12 is 55% but some seem to be 59%, nothing as low as 51%. A) I didn't know different parts of the country have differing residuals (last car I bought, a Benz, they were all the same), could Florida be that low and C) can dealer change residual and 'pocket' the difference as they can do by marking up MF?

Thank you in advance.
On this model, if it's 51% residual, that's a 42 month, 12K/yr lease. AudiCare would make it 52%.
.00050 MF for 42/12.
Residuals are nationwide, and the dealer cannot change them.
Lots of moving parts with those numbers. Ask for the Adjusted CAP Cost, so she can see exactly what she is paying. (and, maybe ask for the actual residual dollar amount, and confirm the length of the lease).
Question: My 2013 Q5 P Plus lease is ending next month and the RV is $25025. Carmax is offering me $29000. They called Audi FS and they are asking $32500. Is this normal? When I leased the car, the salesperson told me that I can build equity with Audi cars and I can sale it when the lease is over. Also, My Audi dealer is only giving me $26500 for trade in. Is there a way to get back my equity?

This seems to be the way it goes with buyouts. You get one price, the Audi dealer gets another price and a non-Audi dealer gets a third price. Your salesperson told you a story that could have been true, but they were just guessing. Leasing banks have become savvier about re-capturing possible positive equity that their customers were taking. They take the risk on residuals, and they want to keep the reward, when they turn out to be low.
Not sure what you can do. If you are leasing another Audi, be glad the dealer is willing to credit you with $1475 of equity?
okay, kyfdx. I appreciate it. - i'll definitely double check and make sure that cap cost ends up being very close to sales price with no surprises. thanks so much
I just got the following deal in NY. I think it’s a pretty good result as some dealers were not able to match this when I presented it to them (although others told me, after the fact, that they would have beat it).
2016 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus w/Tech MSRP: $48,525 Price: $43,012 Incentives/Rebates: $1,772 Adj Net Cap Cost: $41,240 Monthly: $411 Due @ signing: $2,705 (Taxes, Bank Fee, First Month) plus DMV
Sale price before rebates was over 11% off MSRP. Have others achieved similar discounts?

3.0 are nice but expensive.... Looking at Q5 3.0 Premium Plus in CA, MRSP 54580, Sales Price 48580, -> seems fair 36 months, 12 K with Audi Care perfect credit Getting 2 K discount for airbag issue for trade-in, resulting in zero drive off 662 per month. I think this is high due to MF of I believe 0.019. Would appreciate opinion

Using that total price, the payment should be about $438/mo.
What is the total amount due at signing? Is it actually $0?
Don't see any accounting for the $795 Audi acquisition fee, etc.. I'll guess the total price isn't really the total price, and if it is, then the money factor is being marked up, substantially.
Ask for the adjusted CAP cost and the total amount due at signing (and, ask them to check that residual).
thank you for your prompt reply! since I'm not planning to put anything down... tax and dealer fee were rolled into total price... so due at signing just first month payment. As far as acquisition fee, I think it was included and part of total monthly payment, but I will double check.. what makes you think that MF is still being marked up from .00030 MF it is suppose to be?

Was this 36 months and what mileage per year? Thanks...
looks like I was offered almost 15%... MSRP 43,700 Selling Price: $37,465... $6,235 off but dealer can and will add bunch of other fees as I can see it so that's only one part of the deal...

Didn't state that it was marked up. Just that the Total Price can't be the Total Price, and then come up with their number. You need the "adjusted CAP cost", because the "Total Price" is not it (or the money factor is marked up).

hello kyfdx, do you mind to share a calculator where I can plugin "adjusted CAP cost" and compare what monthly payment should be around vs one I was given? thanks!
