Looking into leasing gti s 2017. My best quote received in SoCal so far....

Msrp 26,285 36 months, 10 k, Mf 0.00170 , 61% residual.

Would making multiple security deposits reduce mf and by how much?

Does this offer seem reasonable or is there room to work with?

VW does have an MSD program, but it's rarely used, and we don't have the specific info. It would certainly lower the money factor.
What is the MSRP, and what is the selling price?
You have only provided one figure.
Also, what is the payment?

Something seems off.

If I use your selling price as the cap cost, I get $313/mo before tax.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer - if higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.

I would assume the $2000 covers your up front fees and such.

MF = 0.0017

Initial Capital Cost = 29,819.89
Lease End Value = 20,007
Adjusted Cap. Cost = 31,704.64
Sales Tax = 2,757, add 9% for Chicago use tax

There are a handful of fees ($25 initial fee, $196 annual fee, $329 cash cap reduction), but it all adds up to $450/month, with $1,000 down covering first month's payment and initial fees/title/etc.

I just want to make sure I am getting the calculations right. Thanks!

I get $413/mo with those numbers, before tax. Given the onerous nature of the taxes in Chicago, $450/mo looks good.
