Sorry, I forgot to mention that it is a 39 month, 10k per year lease in Mass. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. thanks again

Just picked up this deal tonight:
    QX60 AWD
    Premium
    Premium Plus
    Theater
    Pearl Paint
    Splash Guards
    WiFi
    MSRP 53910
    Gross Cap Cost 47777
out of pocket 3258.83 (Tax and fees)
    12k/39 mo
    489.82

I think it worked out well as VPP Pricing had this car at 553.21 which I was very surprised at. Last car we got was the Q50 when it first came out and we ended up paying 371/mo on a 44k car. The money factor on this car is terrible though, if it was better (like Acura) the price would be in the low 400 range!

Let me know what you think.

So I just signed and picking up QX60 AWD Premium plus tmr.
I used all 9 MSD and I have question. How do I know they put the money in MSD? Do I get a documentation?
I noticed the paper I signed just say in hand writing $6,000 or so payment at the delivery include 9 MSD but is that it? With this I can get $4500 back 39 month later?

    Thank you.

There will be a security deposit listed on the contract. You'll have to sign the actual lease contract. It should all be on there, and add up. Be sure to look it over.

Help! I feel like the dealer is hiding something because numbers aren't adding up.
I am looking at 2017 QX60 AWD Premuium & Premium Plus pkg, 10K miles, 39 months in CT.

    MSRP - $51,040
    Sales price - $45,581
    Taxes - $2937.45
Fees - $499 doc fee, $199 etch fee, $363 DMV reg
Residual - 59% (as per dealer)
Total due at signing - $2,000
    Payment monthly - $543.14

    Is this monthly correct?!

CT taxes the monthly payment, so we can ignore that number

    .00116 and 59%

Using your MSRP and selling price, I get $484/mo plus tax.

Confirm with the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is, and the full breakdown of the $2000 up front cash. That should help us find the gap.

Hello, I am in Southern Cali and looking at a 2017 QX60 FWD to lease. Looking for 12k/36 on a premium/premium plus model.

What is residual and MF? Also can you give me any idea of what kind of discount off of MSRP I should be looking for at this time of year? The dealership has 30 in stock.

    Thanks for the help!

I received a loyalty offer from IFS, is this usually something that could be added on top of any discounts from the dealer I already received?

Yes, if the dealer hasn't already included it, it should be extra.

Please help me understand my lease contract on the QX60 Premium, I think the RV is too high, I live in Massachusetts and I leased the vehicle in New Hampshire.

    MSRP - $47,695
    Sales price - $43196.50
    Taxes Monthly - 26.16
    Fees - $727
    Residual - 30,183.30
    Payment monthly - $443.97
    Base Monthly Payment - 417.85
    Net Trade-in Allowance 2125.00
    *Rent Charge 4236.98

When I add up my total monthly payment 16296.15 to the RV 30183.30 it comes to $46479.45. I feel the residual value should be around 26-28K.

The lower the residual, the higher the payment, as that increases depreciation.
What you aren't accounting for in your calculation is the finance portion of the lease payment. (that's the rent charge)
That's why the residual plus payments doesn't add up to the sale price. You are paying "interest" as part of the payment.

Assuming AWD, the MF is .00116, or 2.78%. These are the Infiniti Financial Services numbers - ask your dealer if they are using IFS as the bank or another lender.

I agree, something is off with those numbers. That residual is almost 64% of MSRP.

I agree with you to cancel the contract and keep shopping.

Thanks for looking into it, Yes they are using IFS and the dealer doesn't want to void the contract, I have been calling them numerous of time and the sales managers doesn't return my call, I think my only option is to go to a court and that process takes a long time.

Please help me understand my lease contract on the QX60 Premium, I think the RV is too high, I live in Massachusetts and I leased the vehicle in New Hampshire.

    MSRP - $47,695
    Sales price - $43196.50
    Taxes Monthly - 26.16
    Fees - $727
    Residual - 30,183.30
    Payment monthly - $443.97
    Base Monthly Payment - 417.85
    Net Trade-in Allowance 2125.00
    *Rent Charge 4236.98

When I add up my total monthly payment 16296.15 to the RV 30183.30 it comes to $46479.45. I feel the residual value should be around 26-28K.

The lower the residual, the higher the payment, as that increases depreciation.
What you aren't accounting for in your calculation is the finance portion of the lease payment. (that's the rent charge)
That's why the residual plus payments doesn't add up to the sale price. You are paying "interest" as part of the payment.
Thanks for the explanation, Is the interest common in leases, I had leases from other companies and I had not seen interest on it before.
There is *always* interest in a lease -- it's called "rent charge".
Thanks again for explaining this, that rent charge is too high, I will contact the dealer to see if they can reverse the contract since I have not taken possession of the car.

If you haven't taken delivery, you should be able to 'unwind' the contract.

Escalate to the general manager or dealer principal.
I will go there first thing in the morning and according to the sales manager he said it cannot be reversed because they had already gotten paid by the bank.

You can refuse delivery, thus voiding the contract.

Thanks, wish me luck, The only that I have with them is that IFS already opened an account for me and they already sent me the bill. I signed the contract on the 2nd of January and didn't take the car on that day because the dealer didn't have the color I wanted and they had that color coming to them and they told me it would take 10 days.

If I get lucky tomorrow and they ended up voiding the contract, is 59% the standard on the RV and how much would be the rent charge?

The rent charge is dependent on the negotiated selling price.

Just refuse to take the car. If they don't complete delivery, they can send the money back.

If you've given them money, then you might have another issue.

I'm going there in an hour, I have not given them any money beside my trade in and I still have possession of my trade in.

I just left the dealer and they GM refused to void the contract because I've already signed it and he asked me to leave the dealer because he was done with me. I called IFS and they said they cannot void the contract and its up to the dealer.

I still believe that if you don't take delivery, the deal will die a natural death.

I was hoping for that, but i've already have an account with IFS and if I don't make the payments, it will ruin my credit.

    Yeah, that does complicate things.

Call IFS... tell them you never took delivery of the vehicle, and that no money changed hands. Tell them you deny the debt. You may have to send them a letter.

Call the GM back, and tell him the same thing. Doesn't matter what you signed, because the deal isn't done, if you don't take delivery.

You have not completed this deal. They can try to bully you, but if it is as you have described, they have no leg to stand on.

If you have good credit, you can weather this dispute.

I'd like to clarify some things here.

    (1) When you say you signed a contract, was it the actual lease agreement with Infiniti Financial Services, or was it a deal statement from the dealer outlining the terms of the sale? These are very different but can sometimes look similar.

It is unusual to see a dealer have you sign on a lease before they physically have the car on their lot - what if something happened to it? What if you rejected it due to a problem with the car? What if the lot attendant bringing it over drove it over a cliff?

Typically you'll sign a deal sheet and give a deposit, and then the lease is written when you physically take possession of the car.

    (2) Did the dealer tell you that you have an account with Infiniti Financial Services, or did you actually call and confirm this with Infiniti Financial Services? Sounds like the dealer might be yanking your chain to try and get you to stay in the deal.

If you can answer the above, it'll help us guide you.

I can't thank you guys enough for taking your time to look into my issue and offer me guidance,

This happened in New Hampshire and I signed the actual lease with IFS, the car I was getting was supposed to arrive in less than 10 days, I didn't put any money down and they put a random vehicle in the paperwork and they said they would swap it when the vehicle gets there.

They made the lease on a different VIN number and they told me once the car gets there they will swap VIN on the paper work.
Typically you'll sign a deal sheet and give a deposit, and then the lease is written when you physically take possession of the car.
I'm not sure why they did it that way because IFS started billing me from the day I signed the lease agreement, my next payment is on February 2nd.

Infiniti send me the first invoice to my mailing address and when I call them there is an account open under my name.
Call IFS... tell them you never took delivery of the vehicle, and that no money changed hands. Tell them you deny the debt. You may have to send them a letter.
I have called IFS multiple times, 1st time they told me to go to the dealer and tell them to reverse the deal. I called the dealer and they won't reverse it. I called IFS back and they said that they are only the bank and there is nothing they can do and that is up to the dealer to send the check back and void the contract.

Call the GM back, and tell him the same thing. Doesn't matter what you signed, because the deal isn't done, if you don't take delivery.
The GM doesn't answer my phone so I showed up this morning to his office and he said he won't reverse the deal and that is New Hampshire, once I signed the lease contract I own that vehicle.
