I get $486/mo for 36/10, using those numbers. My guess is that part of the $3500 is being used as cap reduction.

Our suggestion is to limit the out of pocket costs to just the first payment and DMV costs - add everything else into the lease payment. Your payment will be higher but you'll minimize the risk of losing that up front money if the car is stolen or totaled.

Hi. Can you tell me if this was a good deal or not? 2017 Acadia AWD SLT1 36/12 MSRP $44,483 agreed upon value $43624 after incentives $40,966 I paid $2248 for 1st pmt, tax (NY 8.25%) & dmv fees. There also was a $595 acquisition fee (I didn't know about), $75 doc fee & $23 inspection/tire waste charge. My payments are $420 per month. I have been following your forum and I think this was all good. Was it? Thank you.

GM is showing a "tagged" deal for Acadia denali's with 17% off MSRP. Can that incentive be used for leases? Its unclear on GMCs website if it for purchase only or no?

I am almost certain that those large discounts are for purchase only.

Hi I am looking at a new lease. 2017 Acadia with SLE2 package with driver alert package. MSRP $39,400. After discounts and rebates, price is $36,230. a 36/10 lease, dealer is looking for $2,400 down, $402/month. They will also pay 4 months of my remaining lease with a competitor. Good Deal?

What state and tax rate?

What is the full breakdown of the $2400?

Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is - if higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.

Just bought a GMC SLE 2 in NY. 24 months 10k. 329 a month
Msrp 38,000
Cap cost 36232.92
Tax rate of 8.75 %
Invoice has the residual listed at 79.2% residual value of 30,105.
Paid 0 out of pocket true sign and drive and they waived the 564 in payments I have on my old lease. Feel like I got a steal even though they might have marked up the money factor because I'm calculating it to be .0011 and not the .00092 because the rent charge is 1783.14.

Do you know the current incentives for the Acadia Denali that would apply to leases? Been told there is a competitive lease pull ahead up to 1500-2000. But I'm not seeing anything else. Thanks for the help.

Using the MSRP and cap price provided, plus the base MF of .00092 and 36/12 residual of 65%, I get a payment of $474/mo plus tax.

Find out what the adjusted cap cost is, and how the dealer got to that number from the selling price.

Second, the MF is only a 5 digit number; did you calculate this yourself from the other numbers provided?

Last, I thought MN taxes the monthly payment, so I'm not sure if you should simply ignore the tax amount in the dealer quote.

How much is due at signing?

Okay.. so, MN is basically taxing the sum of payments, and collecting it upfront. That makes sense.

I come pretty close to the same numbers as calculated, naturally.

Where is the CAP reduction coming from?
How is the NET CAP higher than the GROSS CAP, after a CAP reduction?

MF is marked up ... Acadia 39 month MF is .00092; Enclave is .00087.

2017 Acadia Denali. MSRP $51,485 and sale price of $45985. Includes Competitive lease rebate of $1500 (lease off brand). 36mo./15k miles. 63% residual, .00125 MF. Payment of $496.03 + tax. Downpayment of $1291.64. 63% residual of $32,435.55

I pushed back on the MF to .00092 and I have 2 months left on my current Acadia lease. They graciously offered to take $1k off the downpayment to compensate for the last 2 months. I assume it is more lease equity they are bargaining with. So only $291.64 downpayment. I told them to fix the MF and adjust the payment and we could get started. Good deal if the MF gets changed?

Right, so now they are down to either a zero down payment and a MF of .00125 or an $800 downpayment at a .00092 MF. $515 or $544 payment over 3 years/15k miles per year. Does this seem like a fair deal?

Trim level - For the Acadia it is the SLT-1, For the Enclave not sure the model but it has leather seats with a 3.6 liter V6 DOHC engine. Based on the real money factor levels and if I put first month down with initial fees, what do you think would be a fair 39 month lease for each?

Enclave MF is marked up - base is .00087

Acadia MF is marked up - base is .00092

Tell the dealers you won't sign anything where the MF is inflated.

Sorry, I was adding the tax to the payment. The actual payment is 496.03 with no down payment and a .00125 MF or a $469 payment before tax, $800 down on GM's MF of .00092. I think it makes more sense to take the higher money factor and no money out of my pocket.

Sorry, I was adding the tax to the payment. The actual payment is 496.03 with no down payment and a .00125 MF or a $469 payment before tax, $800 down on GM's MF of .00092. I think it makes more sense to take the higher money factor and no money out of my pocket.

You shouldn't have to pay extra to have less out of pocket.

Be polite and tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is marked up.

Wouldn't zero money out of pocket be pretty darned good for a lease? Every lease I have ever done at least required a security deposit and a few other small fees. With these 2 scenarios, I am either paying the money upfront, or that $25 difference each month (MF) for the next 3 years.

12k miles for 39 months
Money factor 0.00092
Residual 61%

36 x 25 = $900, versus $800 upfront to get the lower MF.

I agree with the MF and residual.

What are the MSRP and adjusted cap cost?

I'd be concerned over the "take back early" comment - you are still on the hook for those payments and charges, it may be rolled over into the new lease.

Thanks. What I am trying to verifiy is if this is a good deal. Based on other quotes on this forum, it seems to be. Standard Denali package plus the technology package for just under $46k, no money down, and $496 per month for a 36mo./15k miles lease. Just trying to confirm good or bad.
