Thanks for starting this one out. I was quoted the following the other day for a 2018 T6 Inscription, would be interested to know how it compares when you get your numbers. Thanks!

    For 36mo in July 2017:
    MF | 0.00122
    RV | 10k: 55%, 12k: 54%, 15K: 52%

The residuals are accurate, as the dealer is not allowed to modify them.

Thank you kyfdx - that's quite a MF mark up! Can you point me to anything online that shows the $1500 Volvo allowance? I'm seeing that on the a-plan webpage but my dealer is acting as if he doesn't know anything about it.

Ok so that's not part of the summer sales incentives on the 2018 T6 Inscription? I keep getting conflicting information from different dealers and I'm trying to pin things down - thanks for the help!

This seems to indicate that the 2018 Inscription would qualify for $1500 but it's not 100% clear as it's not in the exclusion list in the fine print: http://www.volvocars.com/us/shopping-tools/additional-choices/events/summer-sales-event

One dealer just confirmed the following:

    2018 XC90 T6 Inscription: $1500 Summer Sales Incentive
    2018 XC90 T6 Momentum Plus: $1000 Summer Sales Incentive

I am interested in the lease terms for the 2018 Volvo V90. Didn't see a forum yet.

Could you provide the lease rate and residual for the following:

    V90 T-5 Inscription
    V90 T-6 Inscription

    24/10
    36/10

    Any incentives to speak of?

    Need help
    First time ordering a car
    Car I want can't be found some I'm ordering a 2018
Been working with dealer for about a month on pricing.
He told me that I could get a better deal on a 2018 then a 2017. So here are the facts below, I hope I'm in the right forum.

    I built a 2018 xc90
    Ice white T5 Momentum
    Momentum plus
Charcoal learherette (don't know the difference between that and leather)
20" 5 double spoke wheels matte black alloy wheels
    2nd row booster seat
Heated front seat and steering wheel package.
2018 are coming with new safety features
4 years free of some volvo app used to be 6 months.
    Pilot assist
    Blind spot
    cross traffic
    Crime dual tail spot
Usb android  and apple car play
    And I think surround camera

We agreed I would get the car at dealer invoice which started at 44086 and with options is 51008.

We also agree that whatever rebates they have at the time will be applied as well. It's 3900 down due at sigining and I have to put 1000 down to order the car and it's refundable. I'm covered in the contract because it says
    36 month lease/12k miles.
Their is a 75 dollar doc fee

Without knowing money factor and residual at time of delivery am I getting a good price at invoice? I was thinking of removing the booster seats and the 20in wheels and going with 19 to keep the price if not under 50 around 50 but I don't think the extra grand is going to kill me.

    Thoughts please.

I have been a great fan of this forum for years and has saved me thousands of dollars. I need help with this quote that I received from the dealer

    2018 Xc90 T6 momentum plus 39 months, 12K miles/year
    heated steering wheel
    4 C air suspension
    napa leather
    HUD
21 inch 5 V spoke alloy wheels in black diamond cut
    metallic paint

    MSRP 62190
    Selling price 59128
    capped fees 895
    Residual 55%, 34204.50
    MF 0.00113
    Rebate 3000.00
    Adjusted cap cost 57,623
    Taxes 2252.35
    Due at delivery 3349.09
    Monthly payment 704.24

Please advise if this a good deal and also if the numbers match.

    Thank you

so in your professional opinion since I'm getting car at Invoice price that is a good deal. I just have to wait for delivery and whatever month that is most likely Sept or Oct I get the money factor and residual for that month along with rebates. But for this month I can do the calculations based on the numbers you gave me? I would assume around 670 without adding in taxes and Fees which I would say would be around 720 to 740 a month.

The money factor and residual are correct, and using that MSRP and adjusted CAP, the payment is correct, as well.
The acquisition fee is marked up from $695 to $895.
The selling price + $895 capped fee minus $3000 rebate = $57023, yet the adjusted CAP is $57,623. Any idea why the extra $600?
Taxes + 1st payment = $2956, yet due at signing is $3349? Any idea what the other $400 is for?

$200 marked up fee + $600 mystery addition to adjusted CAP + $400 extra on due at signing.

There might be some legitimate answers to those differing amounts, but I'd want to know what they are.

Thank you very much for quick response. Dealer agreed to adjust the cap cost to 695.

The extra 400$ on signing was broken down by him as follows:
    Reg est 295,
    ny insp 10
    doc fees 75 and
    recycle fee 12.50=392.50

I mistyped selling price. It is 59,728. So that where the 600$ difference was.
After taking 200$ off dealer has quoted me 698.89/month with 3328.35 down (tax 2236.96+ 1st pay 698.89 upfront fees 392.50$)

    Please advise

We gave our Subaru dealer $500 to hold a car that was inbound to the dealership (it was the exact color and options the wife wanted).

    Is this deposit refundable?

    Hey Michael,

I wondered if you could help me with the July MF and Residual for a 2018 XC90 T6 Momentum AWD 12K/36MO in Connecticut (06110). Also maybe some overall impressions of the deal?

Dealer is selling to me for the invoice listed on the document I'm attaching ($59,076). Also telling me I qualify for $3,000 in Conquest cash because I am coming out of a BMW. Does this seem like a good deal?

Are multiple security deposits available on Volvo leases? Is MF mark up allowed?

    Thanks,

    N

There is an MSD program for Volvo, but we don't have the details.

Yes, dealer can mark up the MF for extra profit. Were I to guess, I'd say that will happen with your deal, as the discount from sticker is so strong.

Hello everyone. First time poster. Just ran across this thread while doing research on a lease for a 2018 XC90. This is also my first lease so I am new to all of the numbers. I was hoping to get an opinion on what the dealer has presented me. Thanks in advance!

    MSRP: $67,555.00
    LEV%: 54
    Lease-end Value: $36,348.70
    Term: 36
    MF: 0.00132
    Tax: $1,655.65

    Initial Cap: $63,555.00 ($4,000 discount: $1,000 dealer + $3,000 Conquest Discount)
    Total Add Cap: $995.00

    Adj. cap: $64,550.00
    Base month rental: $913.09

    Annual Fee: $71.50
    Initial Fee: $175.00

    Cap tax: 5%

    Monthly total payment: $985.74

First payment is $1,217.49 which includes fees plus and first monthly payment. I'm not sure where taxes are factored into the total numbers. I'd rather pay the taxes upfront if they are adding the taxes into the amount that is charged 5% interest.

    Which trim is this?
    What is the mileage allowance?
    Which state?

Hi I just went to test drive a 2017 T8 Inscription from a Northern Calfornia dealer. I was quoted for a 3-year 10k/year with a residual of 49% and MF 0.00148. Is that reasonable? Thanks!

    .00082 MF and 54% residual

Not sure how WVA taxes a lease, either.
If I add that tax amount to the CAP cost, I get $961/mo.
Or it's possible that it's just an informational item, and it's 5% on the payment (then I get $958)
That is using the marked up money factor.

Either way, a $1000 discount and a marked up money factor is not going to make for a very good lease payment.
The money factor markup is adding over $50/mo. to the payment.

Also, the MSRP and the residual amount don't match, so one of those numbers is off a few hundred. The residual amount should be exactly 54% of MSRP.

Also, acquisition fee is marked up to $995 from $695 base.

First post here, so thank you all in advance. I was looking at a 2018 XC90 T6 AWD, everything was standard, other than paint which adds $595. Here is the break down, I was told that the MF was 0.000133, and residual value of 53+3=56% for 39 months. Here is the breakdown:

    MSRP: 55,640
    - Discount: 2,418
    ---------------
    Sales price: $53,222
+ Accessories: 299 (some protection stuff)
    + Gov fee: 60.75
    + Doc: 499
    + Tax: 2,351.12
+ Acquisition Fee: 995 (per my read, it should be 695, so there is $300 mark-up), but they did mention that the gap insurance was included)
    ---------------
    = Gross: 57,426.86
    - Cash Incentive: 1000
    - Conquest Cash: 3000
    ---------------
    = 53,426.86 or $697 per month for 39 months.

Or I can purchase it for that price minus the acquisition fee.

All the numbers seem to make sense to me, the question is how good is the price? I have excellent credit. 0.00133 MF = 3.192% interest; I am pretty sure that I can find a better rate (or simply pay cash) if I purchase, but the saving is probably minimum.

    - Feels like I am getting close, maybe a few more hundred $$$
    - Also, why the incentive/conquest cash isn't pre-tax, so that I can save tax on that $4000? Guess it's probably always that way.

Again, thank you so much for the help.

Hi, somehow I lost what I just wrote

Here is a 2018 XC90 T6 AWD that I was looking at today, everything standard, other than the metallic paint for $595 in addition.

    Here is the breakdown:

    MSRP: 55640.00 (destination included)
    - Saving: 2418.00
    -------------------
    Sales: 53222.00
    + Accessories: 299.00
    + Gov Fee: 60.75
    + Doc Fee: 499.00
    + Taxes: 2351.12
+ Acq Fee: 995.00 (a mark-up, but this does include gap insurance)
    -------------------
    Gross cost: 57426.86
    - incentive: 1000.00
    - conquest: 3000.00
    -------------------
    Net cost: $53,426.86

Monthly $697 for 39 months. I was told the money factor was .00133 and residual was 53+3% = 56%. Or I can purchase it for the same price minus the acquisition fee.

All the numbers seem to add up fine. I calculate the monthly payment myself after spending a bit time on how that's calculated.

My main question is whether the price is decent enough?

Thank you so much for the help.

I show the base MF as .00113
All Volvo leases include GAP insurance.
You have a $500 doc fee and a $300 acquisition fee markup. Also, $299 for accesssories? That somewhat offsets a pretty decent discount of $2400.

Hi, I built out a 2018 XC90 T6 AWD Inscription yesterday, MSRP $63,290, selling price of $57,500. Leasing for 39 months, 15,000 miles per year. Also qualified for $3,000 conquest cash. Putting down $1,000 total out of pocket. Tax rate is 8.125% in NY. What was the residual and MV for July? $399 doc fee, $275 license and reg. What should the monthly come to? Thanks!
